Putrid Crystalians

Three rot-infested Crystalians guard the final room of Sellia Hideaway, using a spear, ringblade and staff.

Location and access

Sellia Hideaway

Putrid Crystalians

Sellia Hideaway boss chamber

Starting Site of Grace: Sellia Hideaway

  1. From Church of the Plague in eastern Caelid, ride northeast to the graveyard against the cliff. Strike the rock behind the tall gravestone guarded by the battlemage to reveal Sellia Hideaway, then activate its grace.
  2. Follow the miners' tunnel and break through the false walls to the first crystal cavern. Cross the long crystal over the pit rather than dropping down to the Royal Revenant.
  3. Continue over the crystals and gaps to the next large crystal chamber. Keep to its right wall and climb the highest crystal on that side. Step down from its tip onto the crystal below, then follow it left.
  4. Look below for a smaller room with a lit campfire and three sorcerers. Drop into that room when you are ready to fight. The chest here contains Crystalian Ashes; Lusat's blue seal is a separate side passage.
  5. After clearing the camp, take its exit. The short right branch has another snail; follow the passage in the other direction past the group of crystal snails toward the boss fog.
  6. Defeat all three Putrid Crystalians for Crystal Torrent. The room contains spear, ringblade and staff variants. Strike attacks and sustained stance pressure help break their hard shells before finishing them.
  7. You do not need Sellian Sealbreaker or completion of Sellen's quest for this boss route. Stars of Ruin comes from Lusat, not from these three enemies.

Notes

  • All three must be defeated to receive Crystal Torrent. The cracked forms are changes within this fight, not three additional bosses.
  • Each opponent begins with a protected shell. Work toward a stance break on one at a time so you have an enemy you can damage and interrupt more easily.
  • Bring protection or a cure for Scarlet Rot. Avoid standing in repeated crystal attacks just to finish a cast.
  • Keep the staff user’s spells in view while moving away from the spear. Retreating blindly can trade one attack for another.
  • Sellian Sealbreaker is unnecessary for this boss route. That key opens Lusat’s separate seal for Sellen’s quest.
  • Crystalian Ashes are in an earlier chest, and Stars of Ruin comes from Lusat. Neither is the trio’s reward.
