Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon

The encounter starts with a shield puzzle among the scholars, then continues into a sorcery duel in a moonlit arena.

Starting Site of Grace: Debate Parlor

Obtain the Academy Glintstone Key from the corpse behind Smarag west of the academy, then use it to pass the sealed academy gate.
Progress through Raya Lucaria and defeat Red Wolf of Radagon to reach Debate Parlor.
In the courtyard beyond, cross onto the curved staircase on the right. Climb while avoiding the rolling ball, pass Moongrum and take the lift to the library.
Defeat both phases of Rennala to receive the remembrance. The second phase takes place in a separate-looking arena but must be completed in the same encounter.

Notes

Victory awards Remembrance of the Full Moon Queen and Great Rune of the Unborn. The remembrance can be traded for Carian Regal Scepter or Rennala’s Full Moon.
In the library phase, hit the active golden-glowing scholar. Repeat for three shield bearers to bring Rennala down for an opening.
You do not need to defeat every scholar. Look for the current glow and flying books instead of clearing the whole room.
Move away when Rennala starts restoring her shield. Staying underneath her for an extra attack risks the burst.
The second phase begins with powerful ranged sorcery. Be ready to move before using a long buff or summon.
Spirit Ashes become available in the second phase, rather than during the opening library puzzle.
Her summoned creatures are temporary support. Keep watching Rennala instead of spending the entire fight chasing each summon.
After victory she remains in the library and offers rebirth using Larval Tears. You have not killed the NPC who provides that service.
The locked chest beside her belongs to Ranni’s quest and requires Discarded Palace Key. The boss victory alone does not open it.
