In-game description
A hardened husk shed by a formless life form known as the Silver Tear, found in and around the Eternal City.
Material used for crafting items.
The Silver Tear makes mockery of life, reborn again and again into imitation.
Perhaps, one day, it will be reborn a lord...
Where to find
Night's Sacred Ground church and lower street
Nokron, Eternal City
Starting Site of Grace: Night's Sacred Ground
Before you go
- Defeat Starscourge Radahn and enter Nokron through the Mistwood crater.
- Defeat Starscourge Radahn at Redmane Castle. Return to the new crater near Fort Haight in southern Mistwood, marked by floating rocks, and descend its ledges into Nokron.
- Follow the rooftops into the ruined building. Drop carefully to the lower floor by its left wall and go through the doorway to Nokron, Eternal City grace.
- Leave the grace, cross the courtyard with the gazebo and take the descending path past the Nox Swordstress and Silver Tears. Continue toward the distant mist gate, passing the lower gazebo where Silver Tears drop from the ceiling.
- Enter the mist and defeat Mimic Tear. The boss copies your equipment when it transforms. If you remove your weapons before it copies you, you can equip them again afterward while it keeps the original unarmed setup.
- Activate Mimic Tear grace, cross the long bridge and leave it on the left into the woods. Follow the left cliff to Ancestral Woods grace.
- From the cliff beside Ancestral Woods grace, jump onto the building roof below. Follow the narrow ledges around the buildings and drop onto the rounded roof, watching for Silver Tears that change into humanoid enemies.
- Cross the broken stone arch into the large church. Stay on its upper level beside the altar rather than dropping onto the floor with the huge silver ball.
- From the church's upper level, use the ladder to descend to the floor with the huge silver ball. Defeat it or keep clear as you leave through the large doorway.
- Go down the outside steps and activate Night's Sacred Ground grace beside the lower street. Ranni's Fingerslayer Blade chest is farther along; opening it is unnecessary for gathering husks.
- From the grace, go up the stairs on the right toward the church. Collect the hardened husks outside its doorway and across the floor inside, then use the northeastern ladder for the upper pickups.
- Return to the lower street and collect the other husks around the courtyard. Rest at the grace to refill the naturally scattered husks; moving Silver Tears are enemies and can interrupt the circuit.
Notes
- Shield Grease needs one Silver Tear Husk, one Root Resin and one Crystal Bud. It also needs Glintstone Craftsman's Cookbook (4).
- Uplifting Aromatic needs one husk, one Altus Bloom, one Budding Cave Moss and one Arteria Leaf, along with Perfumer's Cookbook (1) and a Perfume Bottle.
- The naturally scattered husks in Night's Sacred Ground return after resting. Corpse bundles and first-defeat rewards are separate from that gathering circuit.
- A hardened husk is a material pickup. Moving Silver Tears and the huge silver ball are enemies, so clear enough space before stopping to gather.
- Silver Tears can also drop husks, but their Larval Tear rewards are separate first-defeat loot. Repeatedly defeating the same enemy does not provide an unlimited Larval Tear supply.
- The selected gathering route needs Radahn and Mimic Tear, but no Stonesword Key, Fingerslayer Blade hand-in or Regal Ancestor Spirit victory.
- The husk is spent when crafting either item. Using an aromatic frees its bottle, but another craft still needs another husk and its other ingredients.
