Sir Gideon Ofnir, the All-Knowing

Gideon blocks the sanctuary with a mixture of sorceries and incantations after the capital changes.

Location and access

Starting Site of Grace: Leyndell, Capital of Ash

Before you go

Defeat Maliketh in Crumbling Farum Azula. After the scene, activate Leyndell, Capital of Ash grace near your arrival point.
Cross the ash toward the southwest, aiming for the surviving approach to Erdtree Sanctuary. The ordinary streets and former lower-city graces no longer provide the old route.
Climb the surviving stairs and ride the lift up to sanctuary level. Enter the room where you previously fought Godfrey's golden shade.
Defeat Sir Gideon Ofnir, the All-Knowing, inside the sanctuary. His defeat awards Scepter of the All-Knowing and the four regular armor pieces together.
Activate Erdtree Sanctuary grace after the fight. The later Godfrey fight and the final bosses are not needed for this outfit.

HP and damage negation for this encounter are still being verified. Its location and notes are available below.

Victory awards Scepter of the All-Knowing and all four regular All-Knowing armor pieces.
His spell selection can reflect optional-boss progress. Do not assume every playthrough gives him an identical set of attacks.
The opening speech gives you time to approach or prepare on the first attempt. Later attempts do not necessarily offer the same pause.
Knowledge Above All lowers Magic and Holy protection for both you and Gideon. Avoid treating its visual effect as a buff that protects him.
The light rings return after passing you. Check their return path before using a long heal.
The sanctuary pillars interrupt some spells, but the rings can still travel around them.
Keep pressure when he is recovering from a cast, while leaving room for a close-range retaliation.
The golden shade of Godfrey fought here earlier is a different boss. The route onward now leads to the later Godfrey encounter.
