Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel bell-bearing unlock
Liurnia of the Lakes
Starting Site of Grace: Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel
Before you go
- Defeat the Crystalian in Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel.
- Stay at lake level on the northeastern side of Liurnia and find the mine entrance in the cliff near the Walking Mausoleum. Take the entrance lift down and activate the grace.
- In the first working area, the chest up the right-hand steps is optional. Take the other passage onward to the larger mining chamber and continue through to the room with a staircase in its middle.
- Use the next lift to descend. Cross the narrow beam at the bottom, clearing the miners that could knock you off before you step onto it.
- Follow the passage through the wooden enclosures guarded by Marionettes. The Crystal Knife chest is optional; the route continues past these rooms and down another staircase.
- You will reach a chamber with miners and spellcasters. Clear the casters so you can move safely, then use the final lift to reach the boss doors.
- Defeat the ringblade Crystalian to receive the bearing. A stance break cracks its initial protection, making the rest of the fight easier.
- Give the bearing to the Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold and check their main shop for the unlocked stock. Buy Smithing Stone [2] for 400 runes each.
Notes
- Upgrades an ordinary armament from +3 through +6. The three steps consume 2, 4 and 6 stones, so one weapon needs 12 of this rank.
- Smithing-Stone Miner's Bell Bearing [1] from Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel unlocks unlimited purchases at 400 runes each. Buying all 12 costs 4,800 runes before the blacksmith's upgrade fees.
- The Liurnia Lake Shore merchant also sells three for 400 runes each. This early supply is separate from the permanent shop unlock and does not require defeating the Crystalian.
- Ordinary weapons, shields and compatible casting tools use this upgrade path. Armor and talismans cannot be reinforced with these stones, and Somber weapons use a different material family.
- Take the weapon and stones to Hewg at Roundtable Hold. The Church of Elleh anvil stops at +3 and cannot perform this rank's upgrades.
- A higher stone rank cannot replace the lower ranks or skip upgrades. Changing a compatible weapon's affinity later keeps its reinforcement level rather than requiring another set of stones.
- Fixed mineral deposits and corpse pickups do not return after resting. Random enemy drops and finite merchant stock are separate from the unlimited bell-bearing shop.
- The handed-in miner's bearing keeps its upgrade-material shop available in later Journeys. It does not provide free stones or skip the rune cost.
