Godskin Duo bell-bearing unlock

Crumbling Farum Azula

Starting Site of Grace: Dragon Temple

Before you go

• Defeat the Godskin Duo.

1. Defeat the Fire Giant and advance at the giant fire basin to reach Crumbling Farum Azula.
2. Follow the floating ruins to Dragon Temple, then descend through the corridors guarded by Banished Knights to the Godskin Duo encounter.
3. Empty the shared boss health bar. A defeated member can return while that bar remains, so defeating one alone is not enough.
4. Take the bearing to the Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold and choose the option to offer a bell bearing. Check their main shop afterward for the newly available items. Buy Smithing Stone [8] for 3,600 runes each.

Notes

• Upgrades an ordinary armament from +21 through +24. The three steps consume 2, 4 and 6 stones, so one weapon needs 12 of this rank.
• Smithing-Stone Miner's Bell Bearing [4] from the Godskin Duo in Farum Azula unlocks unlimited purchases at 3,600 runes each. Buying all 12 costs 43,200 runes before the blacksmith's upgrade fees.
• Ordinary weapons, shields and compatible casting tools use this upgrade path. Armor and talismans cannot be reinforced with these stones, and Somber weapons use a different material family.
• Take the weapon and stones to Hewg at Roundtable Hold. The Church of Elleh anvil stops at +3 and cannot perform this rank's upgrades.
• A higher stone rank cannot replace the lower ranks or skip upgrades. Changing a compatible weapon's affinity later keeps its reinforcement level rather than requiring another set of stones.
• Fixed mineral deposits and corpse pickups do not return after resting. Random enemy drops and finite merchant stock are separate from the unlimited bell-bearing shop.
• After +24, one Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone makes the final +25 upgrade. The fourth bearing does not sell that final stone without limit.
• Taking a fresh ordinary weapon to +24 uses 12 stones from each numbered rank, 96 stones altogether. Buying those materials from the unlocked shop costs 129,600 runes, before smithing fees and the separate final +25 material.
