Sellen teaches sorcery from the cellar at Waypoint Ruins. Her search for the primeval current leads through Azur, Lusat and a body transfer before you choose a side in her conflict with Jerren.

Starting Site of Grace: Waypoint Ruins Cellar

  1. Find Waypoint Ruins east of Agheel Lake in Limgrave. Enter the cellar among the ruined walls, defeat the Mad Pumpkin Head and open the door behind its arena. Speak to Sellen and agree to study with her.

Witchbane Ruins cellar

  1. From Fourth Church of Marika on western Weeping Peninsula, go south to Witchbane Ruins.
  2. Clear the enemies around the stairway and enter the cellar to find Sellen’s chained body.

Before you go

  • Receive Sellen’s Primal Glintstone from Witchbane Ruins.
  1. After clearing Caria Manor, visit the ruined building northeast of Ranni’s Rise.
  2. Break the false floor to reveal the cellar stairs. Descend past the puppets and reveal the false wall at the rear.
  3. Approach the replacement body with Sellen’s Primal Glintstone and use the transplant interaction.

  1. Defeat Rennala and finish Sellen’s body transfer and Jerren’s post-festival conversations.
  2. Leave the Grand Library doors to find the paired signs. Read whether the sign asks you to assist Sellen or challenge her before confirming.

Quest steps can include different outcomes. Read the branch, conditions and cutoffs before making a choice.

  1. Become her student

    Branch: Main quest

    Defeat the Mad Pumpkin Head at Waypoint Ruins and open the door behind it. Agree to learn sorcery for her shop and Nod in Thought.

  2. Show Comet Azur

    Branch: Main quest

    Find Azur beyond Hermit Village on Mt. Gelmir and interact until he gives Comet Azur. Return to Sellen, show the sorcery, hear her story and agree to journey together.

  3. Take the Sealbreaker

    Branch: Main quest

    Continue her request about Lusat and receive Sellian Sealbreaker. This opens his specific sealed room inside Sellia Hideaway.

  4. Find Lusat

    Branch: Main quest

    Reveal Sellia Hideaway’s cliff entrance behind the large headstone northeast of Church of the Plague. Descend the crystal platforms to the blue seal and speak to Lusat for Stars of Ruin. Report back to Sellen.

  5. Meet the real body

    Branch: Main quest

    After defeating Radahn and advancing her dialogue, visit Sellen’s shackled body in Witchbane Ruins. Receive Sellen’s Primal Glintstone through conversation.

  6. Transfer the glintstone

    Branch: Main quest

    Find the hidden puppet cellar northeast of Ranni’s Rise. Reveal its rear false wall and transplant the glintstone into the waiting body.

  7. Finish Jerren’s stages

    Branch: Main quest

    Speak to Jerren at Redmane Castle after the festival. Revisit Witchbane Ruins and finish his conversation there when it appears.

  8. Help Sellen

    Branch: Assist Sellen

    Outside the Grand Library, use the gold assistance sign and defeat Jerren. Collect the Eccentric set and speak to Sellen inside for Glintstone Kris. Her expanded shop includes Shard Spiral.

  9. Collect the later rewards

    Branch: Assist Sellen

    On Sellen’s route, report the masters as needed, finish her dialogue and reload. Collect Witch’s Glintstone Crown after her transformation and revisit Azur and Lusat for their armor.

  10. Help Jerren instead

    Branch: Challenge Sellen

    Use the red challenge sign to defeat Sellen. Receive her crown and Bell Bearing, then speak to Jerren outside for an Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone.

    Progression cutoff: This loses Glintstone Kris, Shard Spiral and the masters’ armor outcome.

Notes

  • The teacher at Waypoint Ruins, the chained body and the replacement body are connected stages. Hitting the chained version can also disrupt the teacher relationship.
  • You only need to possess Comet Azur to show it. Its high casting requirements do not prevent beginning this quest stage.
  • The hidden puppet workshop contains another false wall at the rear. Finding only the staircase is not enough for the transplant.
  • Neither the Sellia Hideaway Crystalian trio nor killing the masters is required to receive their spell gifts.
  • Read the final sign carefully. Both signs are outside the same library door and commit different reward outcomes.
  • Sellen’s later transformation is the scripted conclusion of her supported branch. Reload the library before assuming Rennala’s rebirth service has vanished.
  • Jerren’s stone requires speaking to him after his victory branch. It is not an automatic drop from Sellen’s body.
