About this item

Carry the bell, then use a Spirit Ash from your inventory, quick items or pouch. You do not ring the bell as a separate equipped action.

The pale monument icon at the left of the screen shows when the area permits Spirit Ashes. Owning the bell does not allow summons everywhere.

You need the cost required by that particular ash. Most use FP; Mimic Tear uses HP instead. The bell itself does not have one flat summoning cost.

In-game description

A bell capable of summoning various spirits

from ashen remains. It usually requires FP to use.

Spirits can only be summoned in the vicinity of a rebirth monument. When summoning is possible, the monument icon will be visible on the left side of the screen.

Only one type of spirit may be summoned at once, and none may be summoned during multiplayer.

Where to find

Renna on the ruined wall

Limgrave

Starting Site of Grace: Church of Elleh

  1. Rest at Gatefront after following the road north from the First Step through Church of Elleh. Accept Melina's accord and receive the Spectral Steed Whistle.
  2. Call Torrent at least once, then rest and return to Church of Elleh at night. Passing time at a grace lets you wait for nightfall.
  3. Find the woman sitting on the broken church wall. She introduces herself as Renna; tell her you can call the spectral steed and finish speaking to her.
  4. Receive Spirit Calling Bell and Lone Wolf Ashes. If the meeting is no longer available, use the shop alternative instead.

Twin Maiden Husks

Roundtable Hold

Starting Site of Grace: Table of Lost Grace

Before you go

  • Have 100 runes.
  • Use the Twin Maiden Husks' fallback Spirit Calling Bell stock if Renna's early meeting is no longer available.
  1. If Renna's early meeting is no longer available, visit the Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold.
  2. Open their ordinary shop and buy Spirit Calling Bell for 100 runes when the fallback stock is available. You do not need another player's help to use this option.

Notes

  • Carry the bell, then use a Spirit Ash from your inventory, quick items or pouch. You do not ring the bell as a separate equipped action.
  • The pale monument icon at the left of the screen shows when the area permits Spirit Ashes. Owning the bell does not allow summons everywhere.
  • You need the cost required by that particular ash. Most use FP; Mimic Tear uses HP instead. The bell itself does not have one flat summoning cost.
  • Only one ash can be called for the encounter. An ash may contain several spirits, but you cannot follow it with a second ash when those spirits die.
  • Ordinary cooperative multiplayer prevents spirit summoning. Spirit-enabled Colosseum rules are a separate case.
  • Renna gives Lone Wolf Ashes with the bell. Missing the meeting does not lose access to the summoning system: the Twin Maiden Husks sell the bell for 100 runes when the fallback shop unlocks.
  • Spirit tuning improves the individual ash, not the bell. Bring Roderika the matching glovewort when you want a stronger summon.
