Spiritcaller Snail (Spiritcaller Cave)

This snail first produces a Godskin Apostle and then a Godskin Noble. The actual snail appears only after both spirits are defeated.

Location and access

Spiritcaller Cave

Spiritcaller Snail (Spiritcaller Cave)

Spiritcaller Snail after the two Godskin spirits

Starting Site of Grace: Spiritcaller Cave

Before you go

  • Two Stonesword Keys.
  1. Reach the Mountaintops using the Rold Medallion after Morgott. At Freezing Lake grace, follow the western edge of the frozen lake southeast toward the cave in the cliff, marked by floating jellyfish.
  2. Spend two Stonesword Keys at the entrance statue and activate Spiritcaller Cave grace. Bring a Lantern or another light for the dark passages.
  3. Follow the opening passage past the summoning pool. Avoid the fragile floor in the first chamber and take the opening on its southern side.
  4. In the first lit chamber, kill the small Spiritcaller Snail to remove its summoned wolves, then follow the southwest passage. At the fork, the left side is a loot room; the other branch goes deeper.
  5. Take the deeper branch into the chamber with Inaba, Disciple of Okina. After descending the ledge, find the snail in the bushes behind your landing point to remove its samurai summon.
  6. Continue south into the larger lit chamber with wolves and two more samurai spirits. Kill both snails hiding among the plants, one toward the back left and the other toward the back right.
  7. Continue through the southern passage beyond the lower wolf chamber and enter the boss fog. Keep enough healing for more than one opponent.
  8. Defeat the Godskin Apostle, then the Godskin Noble. They appear one after another rather than as the simultaneous pair in Farum Azula.
  9. Kill the actual Spiritcaller Snail after both spirits are defeated. Completing the encounter awards Godskin Swaddling Cloth and Black Flame Ritual.

Notes

  • Completing the fight awards Godskin Swaddling Cloth and Black Flame Ritual together.
  • The Apostle and Noble appear sequentially. This is not the simultaneous Godskin Duo encounter in Farum Azula.
  • Keep enough flasks for both spirits. Defeating the first does not give you a rest or a new attempt before the second.
  • Wait for the Apostle’s extended attacks to finish before stepping in. The later stretching movements can reach across an apparently comfortable gap.
  • During the Noble’s rolling attack, concentrate on avoiding the body rather than trying to cast through it.
  • Kill the exposed snail after the spirits are gone. Unlike Road’s End, searching for a hidden snail early does not bypass this sequence.
  • Two Stonesword Keys open the cave. The snails in the approach rooms are separate enemies whose deaths remove their own summoned wolves or samurai.
