A record of crafting techniques left by a disciple who pursued the teachings of the saint of sleep—yet what seemed a gentle sleep at first ripened into velvet.

Acquire the knowledge to craft the following:

Starting Site of Grace: Cerulean Coast Cross

1. From Castle Front, ride south to the crossroads, turn east and follow the road to the next fork. Take the right-hand dirt track, then the left fork downhill toward the southeast.
2. Pass the bloodfiends and descend into the shallow poison area. Follow the lower path down toward the river rather than climbing toward the fort; watch for militia and poison traps along the descent.
3. At the bottom is a shallow pool with a giant crab. Turn southwest into the opening in the cliff, continue through the cave past the Revered Spirit Ash chamber and activate Ellac River Cave grace.
4. Leave by the southern cave exit and turn south along the river. Use Torrent to cross the successive rock ledges beside the waterfall, landing on the nearby rocks rather than jumping to the valley floor.
5. Continue down the ledge path past the stone birds, watching for the living ones to attack. Drop down the short rock steps to Ellac River Downstream grace.
6. From Downstream, continue south beside the lower falls. Cross the long rock pillar toward the east and use its far side to reach the lower water safely.
7. The lower basin opens toward a Furnace Golem. Its fight is optional for reaching the coast, the friendly forager or the lightning-flower pond.
8. Head through the eastern wooded side of the basin, then follow the passage southwest through the cliffs to Cerulean Coast grace. The blue-flowered field beyond confirms you have reached the coast.
9. From Cerulean Coast grace, ride south through the blue flowers past the enormous stone coffins. Avoid or circle the Ghostflame Dragon if you do not want to fight.
10. Continue south along the rising path to the roadside map stele. Beyond it the path bends west; look southeast for Miquella's Cross and activate Cerulean Coast Cross grace.
11. Head north from the cross past the upright tombstones toward the enormous stone coffin. Watch for the floating lightning ball beyond the stones.
12. Climb onto the coffin using the low end and nearby rocks. Go to its northern edge and jump across onto the adjoining plateau.
13. Loot the corpse beneath the tree on that plateau for the cookbook. This route stays above the coast and does not descend into the Fissure.

Notes

• Unlocks Eternal Sleep Pots. One Whiteflesh Mushroom and one Deep-Purple Lily make one pot, using an available Ritual Pot.
• The book unlocks its recipes once you own a Crafting Kit. It is not equipped or consumed, and the recipes carry into later journeys.
• Its number identifies its contents; you do not need to collect the earlier numbered books first.
• The Ritual Pot is a reusable container, freed after the finished pot is thrown. The mushroom and lily are spent and need replacing for the next craft.
• This is separate from the ordinary Sleep Pot recipe in Fevor's Cookbook [1], which uses a Cracked Pot and Trina's Lily.
• Sleep still depends on the target. Owning the Eternal Sleep recipe does not mean every boss can be put to sleep.
• The corpse is on the raised ground reached from a stone coffin north of the cross. The Fissure seal and Putrescent Knight are not involved.
