About this crafting material
One feather and three Thin Beast Bones make ten Stormwing Bone Arrows. The recipe produces the complete arrows without needing an extra Flight Pinion.
Flight Pinion is a different material used to fletch other arrow recipes. Ordinary birds do not replace the Stormveil Warhawk farm for this feather.
The selected Warhawks have a 15% base feather chance at 100 Discovery. Some Exile enemies in Stormveil can also drop feathers, but at a lower base chance.

Where to find
Warhawks outside Rampart Tower
Stormveil Castle
Starting Site of Grace: Rampart Tower
Before you go
- Reach Rampart Tower in Stormveil Castle.
- After defeating Margit, activate Stormveil Main Gate and speak to Gostoc in the room to the left. Take his suggested side passage along the cliff.
- Follow the ruined wall and rocks to Stormveil Cliffside grace. Climb the stone steps into the storage building above it.
- Go up the wooden stairs, watching for enemies throwing fire pots at the explosive barrels. Let a throw clear the barrels from a safe distance before climbing farther.
- Continue up the next stairs to the dark room on the right. The door can lock behind you, leaving you with a Banished Knight.
- Defeat the Banished Knight in the dark room and loot the Rusty Key from the corpse. The chest beside it contains a separate talisman.
- Return to the locked door one floor below and use Rusty Key. Climb the ladder, pass the Banished Knight on the outside route and continue up the tower stairs to Rampart Tower grace.
- Go through the northern doorway onto the battlement with the barrel-carrying Warhawks.
- Draw the hawks toward you one at a time, defeat them and collect their drops. Be ready to move if a hawk throws an explosive barrel.
- Rest at Rampart Tower and repeat. You can keep this loop on the battlement without continuing across the rooftops.
Gatekeeper Gostoc's shop
Stormveil Castle
Starting Site of Grace: Stormveil Main Gate
Before you go
- Have 500 runes per item.
- Open Gostoc's early shop by having Stormveil's main gate opened and speaking to him again, or use his later reopened shop.
- His shop is temporarily unavailable while he is stomping in Godrick's arena.
- After Margit, speak to Gostoc in the room left of Stormveil's main gate. Have the gate opened and speak to him again to use his early shop.
- Buy up to five Stormhawk Feathers for 500 runes each. They are limited stock, not five new feathers after every rest.
- If he is already stomping in Godrick's arena, his shop is temporarily unavailable there. Keeping him alive through Nepheli's throne-room progression reopens his shop later; his bearing also preserves remaining ordinary stock if he dies.
Notes
- One feather and three Thin Beast Bones make ten Stormwing Bone Arrows. The recipe produces the complete arrows without needing an extra Flight Pinion.
- Flight Pinion is a different material used to fletch other arrow recipes. Ordinary birds do not replace the Stormveil Warhawk farm for this feather.
- The selected Warhawks have a 15% base feather chance at 100 Discovery. Some Exile enemies in Stormveil can also drop feathers, but at a lower base chance.
- Rampart Tower provides a short repeatable loop through the barrel-carrying hawks. Draw them out one at a time so a thrown barrel does not explode beside you while another bird attacks.
- Gostoc sells five for 500 runes each once his early shop opens. His shop becomes unavailable while he is in Godrick's arena and reopens after the related throne-room progression if he survives.
- His bearing preserves remaining ordinary stock if he dies, but buying feathers or handing in the bearing does not refill them. Keeping him alive also preserves his later Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone offer.
- The feather is for crafted ammunition. Carrying it does not increase bow range, jump damage or the damage of a summoned Warhawk.
