Tanith
Tanith leads Volcano Manor’s Recusants and assigns three assassinations. Joining opens the manor rooms, but finishing the contracts is optional for reaching Rykard.
At Scenic Isle in southern Liurnia, head east toward the stone gazebo near the telescope. Speak to Rya about her stolen necklace before entering Volcano Manor, which ends this early meeting.
Ride northwest across the shallow lake to Boilprawn Shack. Talk to Boggart beside the cooking pot, ask for the necklace and choose Deal to open the purchase.
Buy Rya's Necklace for 1,000 runes. Buying it keeps Boggart alive and opens his prawn shop; purchase at least one Boiled Prawn if you want his later move and crab stock.
Return to Rya in the gazebo and give her the necklace. Finish her dialogue to receive Volcano Manor Invitation.
Reach Altus Plateau through the Grand Lift of Dectus with the medallion halves from Fort Haight and Fort Faroth, or by defeating Magma Wyrm Makar at Ruin-Strewn Precipice. Rya waits at the top of Dectus for lift arrivals, or by Lux Ruins near Erdtree-Gazing Hill for the precipice route. Speak to her and accept her hand to travel to Volcano Manor.
At the manor, join Tanith to receive the Drawing-Room Key. Open the room with Rya and Bernahl and collect the first Letter from Volcano Manor from the table.

Starting Site of Grace: Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy
After defeating Rykard, return to Tanith in the manor and finish her dialogue. Reload, then return to Rykard’s arena to find her beside his remains.

Quest steps can include different outcomes. Read the branch, conditions and cutoffs before making a choice.
Join the manor
Branch: Main quest
Agree to join Tanith and receive Drawing-Room Key. Open the drawing room down the corridor and collect Recusant Finger and the first letter. Joining does not force a different ending.
First contract
Branch: Main quest
Read the first letter. Use Old Knight Istvan’s red sign north of Warmaster’s Shack, below the Stormhill colosseum approach. Defeat him and report to Tanith.
Second contract
Branch: Main quest
Take the next letter and find Rileigh’s sign in the Altus valley south of Shaded Castle, north of Old Altus Tunnel. Defeat him and report back.
Final contract
Branch: Main quest
Take the Red Letter. Reach the Mountaintops through Morgott and the Grand Lift of Rold, then find Juno Hoslow’s sign near Shack of the Lofty. Defeat him and return.
Audience with Rykard
Branch: Main quest
After the main contracts, Tanith can send you to Rykard. You can also reach him by exploring the hidden dungeon. Finish wanted Rya, Patches and Bernahl business before defeating him.
Progression cutoff: Rykard ends the manor’s active contract chain and moves its residents. Collect the letters and side rewards first.
Optional final attack

At Rykard’s remains, you may leave Tanith alone or kill her. Killing her triggers her Crucible Knight bodyguard. Defeat that knight for its incantation.

Her knight separately awards Aspects of the Crucible: Breath.
Notes
The main three contracts, Patches’s assignment and Bernahl’s joint assignment are separate tasks.
Rykard’s defeat is the important manor cutoff. Reaching his grace or entering the dungeon alone does not complete the assassination chain.
You do not have to murder the contract targets to explore Prison Town or fight Rykard.
Rya’s tonic is an optional dialogue item. Getting it does not require giving it to Rya.
Dancer’s Castanets do not make Tanith leave Rykard’s body or produce a further reward.
