In-game description

A record of crafting techniques of the mariners, the oldest of grave keepers. Details an ancient means of summoning the dead.

Acquire the knowledge to craft the following:

- Call of Tibia

Where to find

Tibia Mariner in the shallow river

Charo's Hidden Grave

Starting Site of Grace: Charo's Hidden Grave

Before you go

  • Defeat the Tibia Mariner
  1. From Castle Front, follow the road southeast toward Pillar Path Waypoint. At the fork, use the lower road toward Igon rather than climbing to the Suppressing Pillar.
  2. Continue south-southwest past the broken dragon statues. An Ancient Dragon-Man invades along this approach. The cave entrance is on the left near the end of the path, marked by a fire.
  3. Activate Dragon's Pit grace and follow the lit passage down. Watch for skeletons below the first ledge and around the next corner. Strike their glowing remains after knocking them down to stop them getting back up.
  4. In the large cavern with the pillars, follow the left-hand ledge down and take the passage beside the distant crossbow skeleton. Continue onto the sloping stairs in the next chamber.
  5. Take the downward route toward the large altar and pit. The stairs going up lead to an optional Magma Wyrm; that fight is not needed to reach the exit.
  6. At the bottom, approach the message beside the deep chasm. Walk straight off this lowest ledge into the pit to land safely by the boss mist. Do not jump from the higher rooms or aim toward the side walls.
  7. Defeat the Ancient Dragon-Man behind the mist. Open the large doors at the back of the arena instead of using the return-to-entrance exit, then follow the tunnel to Dragon's Pit Terminus grace.
  8. Leave Dragon's Pit Terminus and descend to the lake bed with a Jagged Peak Drake. You can ride past the drake; follow the southern canyon toward the enormous dead dragon.
  9. Pass the dragon statues and emerge beside the ruined structure north of Grand Altar of Dragon Communion. The huge stone bowl and dead dragon identify the altar.
  10. At the altar, head west over the dead dragon and continue west-southwest toward the red flowers. This leads into the upper hidden grave, not the blue-flowered coast below.
  11. The entrance meets the lowest section of a shallow river. The river climbs northwest through several pools separated by small waterfalls.
  12. Follow the river upstream to the next raised pool and approach the boatman. This Tibia Mariner retreats farther upstream and summons a Revenant.
  13. Watch the Revenant while following the boat. Area healing incantations that damage Revenants can help clear it; drinking a healing flask does not have that effect.
  14. Defeat the Mariner to receive the cookbook automatically. It is a fixed reward, not a random drop from the skeletons.

Notes

  • Unlocks Call of Tibia.
  • The book unlocks its recipes without being equipped or consumed. You also need the Crafting Kit from Kalé at the Church of Elleh to use Item Crafting.
  • You keep the book and its recipes in later Journeys. Its number identifies the contents rather than a required collection order.
  • Call of Tibia: each craft makes 1, using 1 Grave Keeper's Brainpan, 3 Grave Cricket, and 1 Human Bone Shard.
  • Call of Tibia costs 14 FP per use as well as one crafted item. It briefly calls a spinning skeleton to attack near the place you throw it.
  • This is a consumable attack, separate from Spirit Ashes and the Tibia's Summons sorcery. Learning the recipe does not teach a spell or add a permanent summon.
  • The named Brainpan is a crafting material. Do not confuse it with the reusable cookbook or assume that ordinary Human Bone Shards can replace it.
