Before you go

• Defeat Maliketh.

1. Defeat Maliketh in Crumbling Farum Azula so that Leyndell changes into the Capital of Ash. This pickup is not available in the same form before that change.
2. From Leyndell, Capital of Ash, head south across the ash toward the shallow valley where some ground remains uncovered. Look for the open sewer grate there.
3. Look into the opening before dropping. A wooden beam spans the shaft a short distance below you.
4. Land on that beam and loot the corpse for the medallion. Do not fall all the way into the sewers if you are only collecting this item.

Notes

• Raises maximum HP by 8%, compared with 7% from the +1. It is a separate item rather than an upgrade that consumes an earlier medallion.
• Can be worn with Erdtree's Favor and the HP bonuses from Morgott's or Radahn's Great Rune. Restore the Great Rune at its Divine Tower and use a Rune Arc to activate its benefit.
• Cannot be equipped with another Crimson Amber Medallion variant.
• The larger pool does not increase damage negation or fixed flask restoration. Healing calculated from maximum HP does grow, including the percentage part of Assassin's Crimson Dagger.
• The sewer opening used for this pickup is reached after Maliketh changes the capital into ash. You do not need to finish the sewer dungeon, defeat Mohg or enter the Frenzied Flame chamber.
