About this armor
Weighs 5.7 and provides 11 poise. Unlike the regular chest, this piece has no bonus to Messmer's Flame incantations.
It also has none of the regular helm's maximum-HP, stamina or equip-load effects. Each piece works separately, so mixing it with other armor does not lose a full-outfit bonus.
Regular Fire Knights can drop it at a base rate of 3% with 100 Item Discovery. The weapon and other armor pieces have separate rolls.

Each and every knight hailed from a renowned family of the Erdtree's upper echelons, but were shunned and chased from their homes after pledging allegiance to Messmer as their master.

Shadow Keep
Starting Site of Grace: Storehouse, Seventh Floor
- Enter the Realm of Shadow after defeating Starscourge Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood, by touching the withered arm in Mohg's arena.
- From Highroad Cross in Scadu Altus, follow the main road north to Shadow Keep's southern gate. Ride the entrance lift and activate Shadow Keep Main Gate grace.
- Defeat Golden Hippopotamus in the plaza. This is the front-door route; the flooded Church District provides a different way into the keep.
- From Main Gate Plaza, leave through the west-northwest doorway, pass through the armory and climb the stairs. Continue up the wooden steps to the dining hall, where two Black Knights guard the route.
- Leave the dining hall through its southeastern exit to the upper rampart. Follow the rampart past the burning boats and watch for the small Shadow Militiamen hiding beside them.
- Take the stairs leading north-northeast toward the large lift, passing the Fire Knight in front of it. Ride up and activate Storehouse, First Floor grace.
- From Storehouse, First Floor, ride the entrance lift back down. The tall Fire Knight carrying the long greatsword near the bottom is a repeatable armor-farming target.
- Defeat it, collect any dropped loot, ride back up and rest at the grace. Repeat for the piece you need. Each armor piece has its own drop roll, so one kill can leave you without the desired item.
- Ordinary soldiers and Shadow Militiamen do not drop the Fire Knight outfit. You do not need to defeat Messmer or reach the seventh floor for this selected farm.
