About this item

Use one to add 7,500 runes to your carried total. The item is consumed. Selling one to a merchant gives the same 7,500 runes, so neither option increases its value.

The unspent item stays in your inventory when you die. Once converted into runes, its value follows the normal death-and-recovery rules, so use only what you need for a purchase or a level.

Golden Scarab and rune-gain foods do not increase this fixed item value. Those bonuses apply to eligible rune rewards from enemies instead.

In-game description

Grace that dwells within the inhabitants of the Lands Between; the lingering residue of gold.

Use to gain 7500 runes.

The grace of gold blessed those who were first to serve it with the most vivid coloration.

Where to find

Corpse in the first Inaba chamber of Spiritcaller Cave

Mountaintops of the Giants

Starting Site of Grace: Spiritcaller Cave

Before you go

  • Two Stonesword Keys.
  1. Reach the Mountaintops using the Rold Medallion after Morgott. At Freezing Lake grace, follow the western edge of the frozen lake southeast toward the cave in the cliff, marked by floating jellyfish.
  2. Spend two Stonesword Keys at the entrance statue and activate Spiritcaller Cave grace. Bring a Lantern or another light for the dark passages.
  3. Follow the opening passage past the summoning pool. Avoid the fragile floor in the first chamber and take the opening on its southern side.
  4. In the first lit chamber, kill the small Spiritcaller Snail to remove its summoned wolves, then follow the southwest passage. At the fork, the left side is a loot room; the other branch goes deeper.
  5. At the fork after the first snail, follow the branch that continues deeper rather than entering the dead-end loot room.
  6. Descend into the chamber with Inaba, Disciple of Okina. Kill the snail in the bushes behind your landing point to dismiss its samurai summon.
  7. Search the corpses in this chamber for Golden Rune [12] and Freezing Grease. The larger wolf chamber and boss fight lie farther on and are unnecessary for this pickup.

  • Golden Scarab and rune-gain foods do not increase this fixed item value. Those bonuses apply to eligible rune rewards from enemies instead.
  • Can hold 99, with another 600 in storage. Unused copies carry into a later Journey, and their individual rune value stays the same.
