About this item

Use one to gain 3,800 runes. Selling one to a merchant gives the same 3,800, so selling it does not increase its value.

The item stays in your inventory when you die. After you consume or sell it, those runes join your carried total and follow the ordinary death-and-recovery rules.

Golden Scarab and rune-gain foods do not increase this fixed value. Those effects improve eligible enemy rune rewards instead.

In-game description

Grace that dwells within the inhabitants of the Lands Between; the lingering residue of gold.

Use to gain 3800 runes.

Those born at the foot of the Erdtree are blessed. At least, that is the enduring belief of the people of the plateau.

Where to find

Corpse on the railing below Avenue Balcony

Leyndell, Royal Capital

Starting Site of Grace: Avenue Balcony

Before you go

  • Collect before Leyndell becomes the Ashen Capital.
  1. Enter Leyndell after obtaining two Great Runes and visiting the Two Fingers at Roundtable Hold. Follow the main avenue to the stairway down to Avenue Balcony grace.
  2. From Avenue Balcony, take the stairs down toward the northwest.
  3. A knight with a greatbow watches the street ahead. Turn right and follow the railing rather than walking directly into its shots.
  4. Deal with the knight on this side and loot the corpse hanging over the railing for Golden Rune [9].

Notes

  • Use one to gain 3,800 runes. Selling one to a merchant gives the same 3,800, so selling it does not increase its value.
  • The item stays in your inventory when you die. After you consume or sell it, those runes join your carried total and follow the ordinary death-and-recovery rules.
  • Golden Scarab and rune-gain foods do not increase this fixed value. Those effects improve eligible enemy rune rewards instead.
  • You can carry 99 and store another 600. Unused copies carry into a later journey with the same value per item.
  • This is currency, rather than an automatic level increase. Use only what you need before spending it on levels, upgrades or purchases.
  • This selected pickup is on the lower railing near Avenue Balcony before the capital changes. Collect it before defeating Maliketh; the ash-covered capital has a different layout.
  • The (9) identifies the rune-item tier. It does not mean one use gives nine runes or that nine copies are needed together.
