About this item

Use one to gain 25,000 runes. Selling one to a merchant gives the same 25,000, so selling it does not increase its value.

The item stays in your inventory when you die. After you consume or sell it, those runes join your carried total and follow the ordinary death-and-recovery rules.

Golden Scarab and rune-gain foods do not increase this fixed value. Those effects improve eligible enemy rune rewards instead.

In-game description

Grace that dwells within the inhabitants of the Lands Between; the lingering residue of gold.

Use to gain 25000 runes.

There were once heroes who walked the battlefields, abundantly blessed by the Erdtree itself, who upon earning their honor simply died.

Where to find

Corpse at the second tree-like rock pillar

Mohgwyn Palace

Starting Site of Grace: Palace Approach Ledge-Road

  1. Obtain the right Haligtree Secret Medallion half from Albus in Village of the Albinaurics, beneath southwestern Liurnia's plateau. Follow the village path uphill past the perfumer, reveal the large pot before the bridge and speak to Albus. Stop attacking once he appears.
  2. Obtain the left half from the rooftop beyond Commander Niall in Castle Sol. After defeating Niall, go through the exit behind his arena, ride the tower lift and collect the half beside the seated spirit. It is a separate pickup from his direct weapon reward.
  3. Return to the Grand Lift of Rold and switch the action to Hoist secret medallion. Follow Hidden Path to the Haligtree through to the snowy exit. The ordinary Rold Medallion goes to the other part of the Mountaintops.
  4. Activate Consecrated Snowfield grace near the exit. For Inner Consecrated Snowfield, continue north through the blizzard until the open ground becomes clearer; keep the grace as a safe return point.
  5. From Inner Consecrated Snowfield, ride west toward the cliff northwest of Yelough Anix Ruins. Among the pale tree stumps, defeat the invading Sanguine Noble. This activates the nearby sending gate.
  6. Continue west to the fallen tree near the cliff. Just south of it, find the blood-covered sending gate beside an Albinauric. Use the gate, leave the dark cave and follow the left-hand downhill trail to Palace Approach Ledge-Road grace.
  7. From Palace Approach Ledge-Road, descend the slope into the first blood-swamp area.
  8. Look for the tree-shaped stone pillars. Pass the first pillar with enemies in front of it and approach the next pillar behind it.
  9. Search the left side at that second pillar's base and loot the corpse for Hero's Rune [3].

Notes

  • Use one to gain 25,000 runes. Selling one to a merchant gives the same 25,000, so selling it does not increase its value.
  • The item stays in your inventory when you die. After you consume or sell it, those runes join your carried total and follow the ordinary death-and-recovery rules.
  • Golden Scarab and rune-gain foods do not increase this fixed value. Those effects improve eligible enemy rune rewards instead.
  • You can carry 99 and store another 600. Unused copies carry into a later journey with the same value per item.
  • This is currency, rather than an automatic level increase. Use only what you need before spending it on levels, upgrades or purchases.
  • The selected corpse is in Mohgwyn Palace's blood-swamp area. Mohg does not have to be defeated before you collect it.
  • It has no special connection to activating Mohg's Great Rune. The item can be spent anywhere you can normally spend runes.
