About this item

Use one to add 3,000 runes to your carried total. The item is consumed. Selling one to a merchant gives the same 3,000 runes, so neither option increases its value.

The unspent item stays in your inventory when you die. Once converted into runes, its value follows the normal death-and-recovery rules, so use only what you need for a purchase or a level.

Golden Scarab and rune-gain foods do not increase this fixed item value. Those bonuses apply to eligible rune rewards from enemies instead.

In-game description

Grace said to have once dwelled in the eyes of the inhabitants of the Lands Between; the lingering residue of gold.

Use to gain 3000 runes.

No grace resides in the eyes of the Tarnished; if it ever did, it is now lost.

Keepsake selected during character creation

Starting inventory

  1. Choose Lands Between Rune as your keepsake when creating the character.
  2. After beginning, check the inventory for the single rune. There is no later normal pickup for this specific keepsake.

Notes

  • Use one to add 3,000 runes to your carried total. The item is consumed. Selling one to a merchant gives the same 3,000 runes, so neither option increases its value.
  • The unspent item stays in your inventory when you die. Once converted into runes, its value follows the normal death-and-recovery rules, so use only what you need for a purchase or a level.
  • Golden Scarab and rune-gain foods do not increase this fixed item value. Those bonuses apply to eligible rune rewards from enemies instead.
  • Can hold 99, with another 600 in storage. Unused copies carry into a later Journey, and their individual rune value stays the same.
  • This specific item comes from the keepsake choice when creating a new character. Other rune items provide the same spendable currency, but finding 3,000 runes later does not give you another copy of the keepsake.
  • Starting a later Journey with an existing character does not reopen character creation or let you choose this keepsake again.
