1. Collect the Academy Glintstone Key from the corpse behind the sleeping dragon on the island north of Temple Quarter, west of Raya Lucaria. You can grab it without defeating the dragon.
2. At South Raya Lucaria Gate, examine the blue seal to reach Main Academy Gate. Take the nearby lift up, climb past the two spellcasters and enter the church.
3. Watch for the marionettes dropping inside, then use the side doorway to activate Church of the Cuckoo grace. Continue out into the graveyard.
4. Follow the graveyard path down across the wooden bridge, then uphill on the far side. The crawling enemies try to grab you and drain FP. Pass through the torch-lit doorway at the far end to reach the waterwheel.
5. Step onto an ascending platform and ride upward. Jump off at the upper landing before the wheel carries you over, then climb the stairs into Schoolhouse Classroom and activate its grace.
6. Leave the grace room up the short stairs into the corridor, watch for the patrolling enemy and turn left into the room at the end. Open the chest on the right for the cookbook.
7. The same room contains Conspectus Scroll. The hidden wall and exterior ledge are optional; you do not need them, the rooftop route or either academy boss for this chest.
8. Buy the Crafting Kit from Kalé at Church of Elleh for 300 runes if Item Crafting is still locked. The cookbook alone does not unlock the crafting menu.
9. With the book and materials in your inventory, open Item Crafting outside combat and select Magicbone Arrow (Fletched). One craft makes 10.

Notes

• One craft makes 10, using 3 Thin Beast Bones, 2 Glintstone Firefly and 1 Flight Pinion. You keep the cookbook and Crafting Kit; only the ingredients are spent.
• Ammunition for bows and light bows. It does not fit a greatbow, crossbow or ballista weapon.
• Adds 13 Physical and 93 Magic attack power to the shot. This is the ammunition contribution, before the ranged weapon, skill, distance and enemy defenses determine the actual damage.
• The Flight Pinion gives this version better flight distance. Its listed attack power and status buildup are the same as the unfletched version; the feather is not an extra damage or buildup upgrade.
• Deals Physical and Magic damage, which meet defenses separately. Magic resistance matters even when the combined attack number is higher than a plain arrow's.
• No staff or spell slot is needed. The ammunition itself does not scale with Intelligence; Intelligence only improves a shot if the bow firing it has the relevant scaling. An ordinary crossbow does not gain Intelligence scaling from this bolt type.
• Carry up to 99 of this type. It has its own stack, separate from the other arrow types.
