1. At lake level west of Raya Lucaria, start at Temple Quarter and ride north to the rocky island where Glintstone Dragon Smarag rests. Loot Academy Glintstone Key from the corpse behind the dragon; defeating Smarag is optional.
2. Return to South Raya Lucaria Gate and examine its blue seal to reach Main Academy Gate.
3. At Main Academy Gate, walk southeast beyond the blue seal without examining it. Continue down the long sloping bridge to the Isolated Merchant.
4. Buy the cookbook for 3,500 runes. The merchant is on the bridge, rather than inside the academy classrooms.
5. Buy the Crafting Kit from Kalé at Church of Elleh for 300 runes if Item Crafting is still locked. The cookbook alone does not unlock the crafting menu.
6. With the book and materials in your inventory, open Item Crafting outside combat and select Sleepbone Arrow (Fletched). One craft makes 10.

Notes

• One craft makes 10, using 3 Thin Beast Bones, 1 Flight Pinion and 1 Trina's Lily. You keep the cookbook and Crafting Kit; only the ingredients are spent.
• Ammunition for bows and light bows. It does not fit a greatbow, crossbow or ballista weapon.
• Adds 28 Physical attack power to the shot. This is the ammunition contribution, before the ranged weapon, skill, distance and enemy defenses determine the actual damage.
• The Flight Pinion gives this version better flight distance. Its listed attack power and status buildup are the same as the unfletched version; the feather is not an extra damage or buildup upgrade.
• Has 84 base Sleep buildup per ordinary hit. The target's resistance must be overcome before the status triggers; damage and buildup are different parts of the shot.
• Ranged skills and burst weapons can apply their own buildup modifiers. Several projectiles connecting does not always apply the full ordinary-hit value for each one.
• Filling the Sleep meter can put a susceptible enemy to sleep, but some enemies only stagger briefly and others are immune. Stop shooting once the target falls asleep if you want time to heal or prepare a stronger attack.
• Further attacks can wake a sleeping target. A fast burst can therefore trigger Sleep and wake the enemy before you have time to use the opening.
• The recipe spends Trina's Lilies. The arrow versions have less base Sleep buildup than St. Trina's Arrow, which has 96, but can be crafted when you have the materials.
• Arcane can improve Sleep buildup through a suitably scaling weapon such as Serpent Bow. It does not improve Sleepbone Bolts fired from an ordinary crossbow.
• Carry up to 99 of this type. It has its own stack, separate from the other arrow types.
