Effects
Raises the damage of eligible charged heavy melee attacks by 10%. It works with weapon types other than axes.
Hold the heavy-attack input to perform the charged attack. Tapping it for an ordinary heavy attack does not receive the bonus.
This is a damage bonus, not an extra stance-damage bonus. It does not make an enemy's stance break sooner just because the health damage is higher.

In-game description
A talisman depicting an axe and a warrior.
Enhances charge attacks.
The Lord who led the Long March bore an axe, and his loyal warriors honored him by wielding axes of their own, making them very effective at dealing decisive blows.
Where to find
Cellar beneath Mistwood Ruins
Limgrave
Starting Site of Grace: Mistwood Outskirts
- From Mistwood Outskirts, follow the road south into the woods until you reach the broken stone buildings of Mistwood Ruins.
- Look for the stairway leading down into the ruins' cellar. A large Runebear sleeps very close to this entrance.
- Crouch and approach carefully if you want to avoid the bear. Killing it is not required, and fighting beside the stairs can make this simple pickup much more dangerous.
- Go down the cellar stairs and open the chest at the bottom.
- Take the Axe Talisman, then return up the stairs. Keep an eye on the bear again as you leave.
Notes
- Raises the damage of eligible charged heavy melee attacks by 10%. It works with weapon types other than axes.
- Hold the heavy-attack input to perform the charged attack. Tapping it for an ordinary heavy attack does not receive the bonus.
- This is a damage bonus, not an extra stance-damage bonus. It does not make an enemy's stance break sooner just because the health damage is higher.
- Charging a spell or weapon skill does not make it an eligible heavy attack. Godfrey Icon strengthens a different group of charged actions.
- The charged projectiles from Frozen Needle, Wing of Astel and Dark Moon Greatsword are excluded. A weapon's melee contact and its separate projectile do not necessarily share the same bonuses.
- The altered charged heavies from War Cry, Barbaric Roar, Braggart's Roar and Shriek of Milos can benefit. Roar Medallion can strengthen the eligible roar attacks separately.
- Spiked Cracked Tear can add its separate charged-heavy bonus. Spear Talisman is another option for a charged thrust, but only when the pierce hit lands during the enemy's counterattack window.
- Can work alongside a qualifying Smithscript throw bonus on an ordinary charged strong attack. The weapon contact and its separate projectile must each qualify; a charged weapon skill is still a different action.
