Before you go

• Two Stonesword Keys.

1. From Erdtree-Gazing Hill, follow the low ground north toward the ravine below the western Altus cliffs. Look for the sealed mine entrance to Old Altus Tunnel, not the separate Altus Tunnel farther east.
2. Spend two Stonesword Keys at the entrance seal, then take the lift down and activate the grace.
3. Follow the tunnel past the crystal-covered bend to the first wooden shack. A miner with a lantern and a dog wait beside explosive barrels, so keep clear of the barrels if the miner starts breathing fire.
4. Pass the summoning pool and continue northwest into the large mining chamber. Turn right along the wooden walkway and climb the ladder rather than dropping into the lower mine.
5. Take the northwestern tunnel from the upper platform. Clear the miners and seated soldier in the next room, then draw the two dogs out of its wooden shack.
6. Loot the corpse inside that shack for Boltdrake Talisman +1. The lower shack with Troll's Hammer and the Stonedigger Troll boss are different destinations.

Notes

• Reduces incoming Lightning damage by 17% against enemies or 5% against other players. The smaller player-versus-player value applies against player attacks, rather than using the enemy reduction everywhere.
• Only the Lightning part of a mixed hit receives this reduction. It does not make every attack from an enemy using that element deal less damage.
• Cannot be equipped with another Boltdrake variant. Earlier versions are not required to collect or use a stronger one.
• Pearldrake Talisman can provide another compatible layer against this element. The reductions multiply rather than adding their percentages together.
• Does not strengthen your Lightning attacks or protect you from a dragon's physical claws. Lightning damage also has no separate buildup meter for this talisman to resist.
• With 25% existing negation for a covered damage type, its 17% enemy reduction gives 37.75% total negation. It is not an extra 17 percentage points added directly to the armor display.
• Two Stonesword Keys open Old Altus Tunnel's entrance. The talisman is in the upper shack reached by the right-hand ladder, rather than a reward from the Stonedigger Troll.
• Weighs 0.6. Its protection stays active while equipped; it does not need FP, a casting tool or an attribute requirement.
