Effects
Adds 190 Focus, raising the buildup required for Sleep and Madness to trigger. The basic charm gives 140, while the +2 gives 230.
Focus is a resistance stat, not maximum FP or Mind. The bonus does not give you more casts or reduce the FP cost of a spell.
A hit that inflicts Madness can also deal physical or elemental damage. This charm raises the status threshold without reducing that separate HP damage.

In-game description
An accoutrement worn by the ancestral followers.
Greatly raises focus.
(Focus governs resistance to sleep and madness.)
Said to be a budding horn. The ancestral followers believe that the horns of a long-lived beast continue to bud like antlers, over and over again, until the beast one day becomes an ancestral spirit.
Where to find
Ruined lower platform southeast of Hallowhorn Grounds
Nokron, Eternal City
Starting Site of Grace: Mimic Tear
Before you go
- Reach Nokron beyond the Mimic Tear.
- Defeat Starscourge Radahn at the Radahn Festival in Redmane Castle. His defeat opens the starfall crater in Limgrave; it is not the sealed Siofra River overlook reached from the Four Belfries.
- Return to the Mistwood near Fort Haight and find the new crater marked by floating rocks. Use the descending ledges and openings to enter Nokron, Eternal City.
- Follow the rooftops down into Nokron's streets, then continue to the Mimic Tear boss. Defeat it and cross the long bridge beyond the arena.
- At the wooded end of the bridge, head toward the ruins southeast of the upper Hallowhorn Grounds.
- Look over the edge for the remains of a lower bridge and the ruined structure beneath it. Use the broken stonework to descend instead of leaping directly to the lowest floor.
- Drop into the lower part of the ruin and search the central corpse for the charm.
- This is in upper Nokron. The staircase to Deep Siofra Well in the lower river contains the basic charm instead.
Notes
- Adds 190 Focus, raising the buildup required for Sleep and Madness to trigger. The basic charm gives 140, while the +2 gives 230.
- Focus is a resistance stat, not maximum FP or Mind. The bonus does not give you more casts or reduce the FP cost of a spell.
- A hit that inflicts Madness can also deal physical or elemental damage. This charm raises the status threshold without reducing that separate HP damage.
- It does not cure an active ailment or make you immune to repeated buildup. Poison, Scarlet Rot, Bleed, Frostbite and Death Blight use different resistances.
- Cannot be worn with another Clarifying Horn Charm. Mottled Necklace can add a compatible Focus bonus.
- The corpse is on the lower ruined structure southeast of upper Hallowhorn Grounds in Nokron. It is separate from the basic charm beside the Deep Siofra Well stairs.
