In-game description
A medallion with crimson amber inlaid.
Boosts maximum HP by the utmost.
The Erdtree's old sap becomes amber, treasured as the most precious of jewels in the age of Godfrey, the first Elden Lord.
These medallions, of the largest variety, were conferred to Godwyn's inner circle of distinguished golden knights.
Where to find
Fog Rift Catacombs boss
Gravesite Plain
Starting Site of Grace: Fog Rift Catacombs
- Enter the Realm of Shadow after defeating Starscourge Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood. From Three-Path Cross, cross the eastern bridge toward Castle Front. The dungeon is below the northern fort, rather than inside its upper walls.
- From Castle Front, ride north beneath Fog Rift Fort's wooden structures. Continue through the misty graveyard to the catacomb doors between two pale braziers.
- Take the lift down and activate the grace. Trigger each spiked ceiling from a doorway, then move as it rises. The side recesses are your safe places.
- Continue through the cannon-Imp rooms to the second crusher. Drop beneath it as it rises and immediately retreat into the room under your starting ledge; cross the lower trap room to the next lift.
- On the next level, pass through the Imp rooms to the long hall with three ceiling traps and a spellcaster at the far end. Move between the recesses on the left rather than running the whole length at once.
- Reach the spellcaster's raised platform. The hole in one recess leads to optional sewer loot, and riding the crusher up leads to other rewards; neither is the direct boss route.
- Take the doorway west of the raised platform, cross the last crusher room when its ceiling rises, and use the final lift.
- Defeat the Death Knight beyond the fog to receive Crimson Amber Medallion +3 and Death Knight's Twin Axes.
Notes
- Raises maximum HP by 10%, the strongest Crimson Amber Medallion bonus. A 2,000 HP pool becomes 2,200 before other changes.
- Cannot be worn with the basic, +1 or +2 versions. None of those medallions is required to obtain it.
- It helps you survive through extra health capacity. It does not increase damage negation or resistance to status buildup.
- Fixed Crimson Flask healing does not become stronger just from wearing it. Healing based on maximum HP does increase; at 2,200 maximum HP, Assassin's Crimson Dagger restores 305 HP instead of the 285 HP it restores at 2,000.
- Crimson Seed Talisman can improve flask restoration alongside it. Seed and Amber affect different parts of your health supply.
- The Death Knight in Fog Rift Catacombs gives this medallion and Death Knight's Twin Axes. The Death Knight in Scorpion River Catacombs gives the Cerulean medallion instead.
- Compatible maximum-HP multipliers combine by multiplication rather than simply adding their percentages. It does not grant Vigor levels or help meet an attribute requirement.
- Weighs 0.6, twice the 0.3 weight of the earlier Crimson Amber versions. Its 10% capacity bonus is the same in PvE and PvP.
