Effects
Reduces incoming physical damage by 17% against enemies or 4% against other players. The smaller player-versus-player value applies against player attacks, rather than using the enemy reduction everywhere.
Covers Standard, Strike, Slash and Pierce damage. Magic, Fire, Lightning and Holy parts of a mixed hit remain unaffected.
Works without a shield. It reduces qualifying HP damage, rather than raising Guard Boost or directly lowering the stamina spent blocking.

In-game description
Wrought iron talisman depicting a trio of ancient dragons.
Vastly boosts physical damage negation.
The ancient dragons, who ruled in the prehistoric era before the Erdtree, would protect their lord as a wall of living rock.
And so it is that the shape of the dragon has become symbolic of all manner of protections.
Where to find
Floating rubble north of Dragon Temple Altar
Crumbling Farum Azula
Starting Site of Grace: Dragon Temple Altar
Before you go
- Defeat the Godskin Duo and activate Dragon Temple Altar. Leave through the northern side of the arena.
- Drop through the broken section of floor and follow the descending stairs. Go through the window onto the floating floor outside.
- Take the right-hand doorway and follow the line of broken stone platforms leading away from the temple.
- After the larger drop partway along the rubble route, stop and turn around. A lower platform is tucked behind the route you just descended.
- Loot the corpse on that platform for the talisman. Check below before every jump so you stay on solid rubble.
Notes
- Reduces incoming physical damage by 17% against enemies or 4% against other players. The smaller player-versus-player value applies against player attacks, rather than using the enemy reduction everywhere.
- Covers Standard, Strike, Slash and Pierce damage. Magic, Fire, Lightning and Holy parts of a mixed hit remain unaffected.
- Works without a shield. It reduces qualifying HP damage, rather than raising Guard Boost or directly lowering the stamina spent blocking.
- Cannot be equipped with another Dragoncrest Shield variant or Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman. The later versions are separate pickups, rather than upgrades that consume this one.
- With 25% existing negation for a covered damage type, its 17% enemy reduction gives 37.75% total negation. It is not an extra 17 percentage points added directly to the armor display.
- After the larger drop on the rubble route north of Dragon Temple Altar, turn back to find the tucked-away lower corpse. Its protection does not make a fall into the surrounding void survivable.
- Weighs 0.8. Its protection stays active while equipped; it does not need FP, a casting tool or an attribute requirement.
