Effects

Reduces incoming Fire damage by 17% against enemies or 5% against other players. The smaller player-versus-player value applies against player attacks, rather than using the enemy reduction everywhere.

Only the Fire part of a mixed hit receives this reduction. It does not make every attack from an enemy using that element deal less damage.

Cannot be equipped with another Flamedrake variant. Earlier versions are not required to collect or use a stronger one.

In-game description

Talisman depicting a duo of red ancient dragons.

Greatly boosts fire damage negation.

The ancient dragons, who ruled in the prehistoric era before the Erdtree, would protect their lord as a wall of living rock.

And so it is that the shape of the dragon has become symbolic of all manner of protections.

Where to find

Eastern capital exit toward the Forbidden Lands

Leyndell

Starting Site of Grace: Forbidden Lands

Before you go

  • Reach the capital's eastern exit after Morgott.
  1. After defeating Morgott, use the eastern capital route toward the Forbidden Lands and the Grand Lift of Rold.
  2. On the way out of Leyndell, ride the large lift up to the elevated exit walkway before taking the route down into the Forbidden Lands.
  3. Search the walkway near the lift for the corpse leaning against a stone pillar.
  4. Loot it for Flamedrake Talisman +1. If approaching from Forbidden Lands, backtrack west and take the lift up to this same exit section.

Notes

  • Reduces incoming Fire damage by 17% against enemies or 5% against other players. The smaller player-versus-player value applies against player attacks, rather than using the enemy reduction everywhere.
  • Only the Fire part of a mixed hit receives this reduction. It does not make every attack from an enemy using that element deal less damage.
  • Cannot be equipped with another Flamedrake variant. Earlier versions are not required to collect or use a stronger one.
  • Pearldrake Talisman can provide another compatible layer against this element. The reductions multiply rather than adding their percentages together.
  • Does not strengthen your own Fire attacks or prevent interruption and status buildup. Fire Scorpion Charm is an offensive talisman with a different benefit and penalty.
  • With 25% existing negation for a covered damage type, its 17% enemy reduction gives 37.75% total negation. It is not an extra 17 percentage points added directly to the armor display.
  • The pickup is on the elevated eastern capital exit near the lift. You can approach by backtracking from Forbidden Lands; it is not a random drop from the fire-using enemies along the route.
  • Weighs 0.6. Its protection stays active while equipped; it does not need FP, a casting tool or an attribute requirement.
