About this item

Creates temporary rays that resemble the guidance from a Site of Grace. The direction is deliberately unreliable, so it does not point you toward a required objective.

It is not a real checkpoint. You cannot rest, level up, refill flasks or fast travel from the imitation.

Using it consumes one mimic and costs no FP. Each craft makes one from an Erdleaf Flower and a Human Bone Shard after obtaining Missionary's Cookbook [2].

Similar to grace, this fetish draws rays guiding the way, only without any sense of order.

Useful as a last resort for those who have lost their way, or for use by those who believe that unrefined guidance will lead to truer encounters.

Starting Site of Grace: Murkwater Cave

Before you go

  • Crafting Kit
  • Missionary's Cookbook [2]
  • Ingredients per batch: 1 Erdleaf Flower and 1 Human Bone Shard
  • Spare Patches
  • 800 runes
  1. Follow the river north from Agheel Lake and enter Murkwater Cave in the western wall of the ravine.
  2. Activate the cave grace, clear the bandits and open the chest in the back room to trigger Patches' fight. When he surrenders, stop attacking and speak to him.
  3. Leave and reload the cave, then speak to him again to open his shop.
  4. Buy the cookbook for 800 runes. If he has moved, check his shop at his next quest location.
  5. If Patches has died, offer his bell bearing to the Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold and buy the unpurchased book from his shop there.
  6. Buy the Crafting Kit from Kalé at Church of Elleh for 300 runes if Item Crafting is still unavailable.
  7. Collect 1 Erdleaf Flower and 1 Human Bone Shard. Outside combat, open Item Crafting and choose Grace Mimic. One craft makes one.

Before you go

  • Spare Patches and open his shop.
  1. Follow the river north from Agheel Lake and enter Murkwater Cave in the western wall of the ravine.
  2. Activate the cave grace, clear the bandits and open the chest in the back room to trigger Patches' fight. When he surrenders, stop attacking and speak to him.
  3. Leave and reload the cave, then speak to him again to open his shop.
  4. Open his shop and buy ready-made Grace Mimics for 100 runes each, up to 15. Buying them does not require the cookbook.
