Lion Greatbow

Notes

• Requires 22 Strength and 18 Dexterity and weighs 9.5. Firing uses both hands, so 15 actual Strength meets the Strength requirement; Dexterity still needs to reach 18.
• Physical damage scales with both Strength and Dexterity, with the larger coefficient on Strength. Investing in both can be useful at higher levels; the gravity theme does not add Intelligence or Arcane damage scaling.
• Boosts Radahn's Spear damage by 20% while actively held. The passive is specific to that ammunition and is not a general bonus to all ranged skills.
• The spear bonus also works when another greatbow fires the ammunition while Lion Greatbow stays active in the other hand. Two active Lion Greatbows multiply the bonus to 44%. An inactive equipment-slot copy gives no bonus.
• Its fixed Radahn's Rain skill costs 32 FP and one greatarrow per activation. It sends a shower of projectiles onto the target area rather than consuming one arrow for every falling projectile.
• Large or stationary enemies can be struck by more of the shower. A small or moving target may avoid much of it, so the number of arrows on screen does not guarantee a fixed total damage.
• Shard of Alexander boosts the skill. Godfrey Icon does not, because this skill has no charged version. Its gravity appearance does not turn its ordinary Physical arrows into Magic damage.
• Radahn's Spear has its own 20% bonus against eligible gravity enemies. That target condition is separate from Lion Greatbow's matching-ammunition bonus.
• Upgrades with Somber Smithing Stones to +10. The skill and affinity cannot be changed, and grease or weapon enchantments cannot be applied.
• Uses greatarrows rather than ordinary arrows or ballista greatbolts. The remembrance exchange gives the bow, while ammunition is a separate purchase.
