In-game description

An old glintstone blade that has been stained with blood.

Reduces FP consumption of sorceries and incantations at the cost of maximum HP.

The old sorcerers would slice open their hearts with these blades to imbue a primal glintstone with their soul, and thus did they die.

Before you go

  • Spirit Jellyfish Ashes.
  • Reach the Mountaintops of the Giants.
  1. Obtain Spirit Jellyfish Ashes from Roderika by finishing her conversations at Stormhill Shack. If she has moved, check her conversations at Roundtable Hold.
  2. Reach Stargazers' Ruins in the western Mountaintops. Listen for the jellyfish calling for her sister beside the sealed cellar.
  3. Stand near the speaking jellyfish and summon Spirit Jellyfish Ashes. Let their reunion finish; attacking the jellyfish is not part of the puzzle.
  4. The cellar seal opens after the conversation. Go down the stairs and open the chest.
  5. The reunion does not consume your Spirit Jellyfish Ashes, so you can keep using the summon afterward.

  • The discount does not apply to ordinary weapon skills, which use separate skill-cost effects. It also does not reduce stamina use or speed up casting.
  • At a fixed FP pool, reducing a repeatable spell's cost to three quarters can provide roughly one third more casts before rounding. The exact number depends on the final whole-number cost and your available FP.
  • The HP penalty remains active whenever the talisman is equipped, even between casts. A 2,000 maximum HP pool before this penalty becomes 1,700 if no other maximum-HP effects change.
  • Its discount can be useful for sustained casting, but it does not make your blue flasks restore more FP. You are spending each refill more slowly.
  • Summoning Spirit Jellyfish Ashes beside the talking jellyfish opens the Stargazers' Ruins cellar. The reunion does not consume the ashes, and killing the jellyfish is unnecessary.
