Effects
Adds 90 Vitality against Death Blight buildup. It does not raise your maximum HP despite the name of that resistance stat.
It increases the buildup threshold rather than preventing Death Blight. Letting the larger bar fill still causes death.
It does not provide healing, ordinary damage negation or resistance to Poison, Rot, Blood Loss, Frostbite, Sleep or Madness.

In-game description
A fetid pustule taken from facial flesh.
Raises vitality.
(Vitality governs resistance to the effects of Death.)
It is said that this pustule came from the visage of the Prince of Death, he who used to be called Godwyn. As First Dead of the demigods, it's said he's buried deep under the capital, at the Erdtree's roots.
Where to find
Stormveil Castle's lowest root chamber
Limgrave
Starting Site of Grace: Liftside Chamber
- Use Stormveil's cliffside entrance and progress through Rampart Tower toward the large soldier courtyard. Liftside Chamber is in the room beside that courtyard, rather than on the tower's upper roof.
- Reach Liftside Chamber in Stormveil and activate the grace.
- Leave toward the courtyard, turn sharply right and find the dark edge with a corpse hanging over it.
- Look below for the descending ledges. Drop carefully, heal between drops if needed and follow the route past the rats into the lowest chamber.
- The ground starts shaking as an Ulcerated Tree Spirit appears. You can fight it or run past if you have enough room.
- At the far end, find the enormous face-shaped root and loot the body beside it for the talisman.
- Use the long ladder out of the chamber to leave. Rogier's bloodstain nearby is a separate quest clue.
Notes
- Adds 90 Vitality against Death Blight buildup. It does not raise your maximum HP despite the name of that resistance stat.
- It increases the buildup threshold rather than preventing Death Blight. Letting the larger bar fill still causes death.
- It does not provide healing, ordinary damage negation or resistance to Poison, Rot, Blood Loss, Frostbite, Sleep or Madness.
- Cannot be equipped with Prince of Death's Cyst, which provides 140 Vitality instead. The two are separate pickups rather than materials for an upgrade.
- The Ulcerated Tree Spirit in Stormveil does not drop the talisman. Loot the corpse beside the enormous face-shaped root at the far end of its chamber.
- Rogier's nearby bloodstain is a separate quest clue. You can collect the talisman without defeating the Tree Spirit or completing Rogier's investigation.
- The 90 points are a flat addition to your Death Blight resistance, rather than 90% protection. Armor and other compatible Vitality effects can increase the threshold further.
- Death Blight is separate from the direct physical, Magic or Holy damage of an attack. Wearing this does not reduce damage simply because the attacker is associated with death.
- Weighs 0.6. Its resistance is present only while equipped, and the item does not give your own attacks Death Blight.
