If successful, you will arrive as an invader (Recusant) with the objective of defeating the Host of Fingers of that world.

This furled finger is covered in snake scales.

Starting Site of Grace: Volcano Manor

1. At Scenic Isle in southern Liurnia, head east toward the stone gazebo near the telescope. Speak to Rya about her stolen necklace before entering Volcano Manor, which ends this early meeting.
2. Ride northwest across the shallow lake to Boilprawn Shack. Talk to Boggart beside the cooking pot, ask for the necklace and choose Deal to open the purchase.
3. Buy Rya's Necklace for 1,000 runes. Buying it keeps Boggart alive and opens his prawn shop; purchase at least one Boiled Prawn if you want his later move and crab stock.
4. Return to Rya in the gazebo and give her the necklace. Finish her dialogue to receive Volcano Manor Invitation.
5. Reach Altus Plateau through the Grand Lift of Dectus with the medallion halves from Fort Haight and Fort Faroth, or by defeating Magma Wyrm Makar at Ruin-Strewn Precipice. Rya waits at the top of Dectus for lift arrivals, or by Lux Ruins near Erdtree-Gazing Hill for the precipice route. Speak to her and accept her hand to travel to Volcano Manor.
6. Inside Volcano Manor, speak to Tanith beside her armored knight. Agree to join and receive the Drawing-Room Key.
7. Use the key on the drawing-room door down the corridor. Collect Recusant Finger from the table beside the manor letter. Completing the first assassination is unnecessary.

Notes

• A reusable invasion tool with no FP cost. It attempts to enter an eligible player's world as a Recusant, with the objective of defeating the Host of Fingers.
• It is not consumed after an attempt or invasion. You do not need a new copy from Tanith each time.
• It has the same basic invasion function as Bloody Finger. The title and temporary phantom-finger variant differ; it does not unlock a separate covenant reward system.
• Normal online matchmaking restrictions still apply. It does not select a specific friend through a password or force entry into an ineligible session.
• The red signs for Volcano Manor's named NPC contracts are separate from ordinary player invasions. Those assignments do not require searching for a real player with this finger.
• Successful entry provides three temporary Phantom Recusant Fingers for relocating during that invasion. They disappear when the session ends.
• Joining the manor and collecting the table pickup is enough. You do not need to complete an assassination or defeat Rykard first, and receiving Bloody Finger does not prevent collecting this one.
