Effects
Raises attack power by 20% when HP is at 20% of its maximum or lower. The attack-power bonus is also 20% against other players.
This depends on your current HP rather than a recent injury. Healing above the threshold removes the effect instead of leaving a timed attack buff behind.
It does not reduce incoming damage or prevent a fatal hit. Blue-Feathered Branchsword can provide its separate low-HP protection, but the remaining health bar is still small.

In-game description
A talisman adorned with red feathers, once used in ancient death rituals.
Raises attack power when HP is low.
The heart sings when one draws close to death, and a glorious end awaits those who cling so tenaciously to life.
Where to find
Deathbird northeast of Scenic Isle
Liurnia of the Lakes
Starting Site of Grace: Scenic Isle
Before you go
- From Liurnia Lake Shore, ride north through southern Liurnia's shallow lake toward the raised island west of the telescope gazebo. Activate Scenic Isle grace and pass time until night.
- Ride northeast toward the fallen stone ruin near the lake's edge.
- Approach the ruin at night to trigger the Deathbird. If it does not appear, rest until night again and return.
- Defeat this Deathbird to receive Red-Feathered Branchsword. The Deathbird near Warmaster's Shack drops the blue defensive version instead.
Notes
- Raises attack power by 20% when HP is at 20% of its maximum or lower. The attack-power bonus is also 20% against other players.
- This depends on your current HP rather than a recent injury. Healing above the threshold removes the effect instead of leaving a timed attack buff behind.
- It does not reduce incoming damage or prevent a fatal hit. Blue-Feathered Branchsword can provide its separate low-HP protection, but the remaining health bar is still small.
- The threshold includes exactly 20% of maximum HP. At 2,000 maximum HP, 400 HP qualifies and 401 does not. Changing maximum HP also changes that cutoff.
- It can benefit eligible weapons, damaging spells and skills. It is not restricted to swords despite its name.
- The Deathbird northeast of Scenic Isle drops it at night. The Deathbird near Warmaster's Shack drops the blue defensive talisman instead.
- Its damage bonus can combine with Blue-Feathered Branchsword's separate low-HP protection, but neither prevents a lethal hit. Healing above the threshold immediately ends this attack bonus.
