Starting Site of Grace: Castle Ensis Checkpoint

1. From Castle Front, cross the northeastern bridge toward Castle Ensis. Pass or defeat the Troll Knight at the far end, then climb the large stairs on the left.
2. Follow the path left at the top. Soldiers and dogs wait around the fires and stairway, so draw them out before climbing farther.
3. Continue through the cave beyond the first campfire. Climb the ledges at its far exit, then follow the uphill path past the patrolling Black Knight.
4. At the top is a closed gate with Miquella's Cross beside it. Activate Castle Ensis Checkpoint grace before attempting the detour.
5. With the closed gate ahead, follow the wall to the right to the soldier crouching at the ledge. Drop to the ledge below, then into the hole leading to the flooded cave. Three dogs attack inside.
6. Leave the cave and turn left toward the waterfall. Jump across the rock platforms, continue through the river arch and climb the ladder beside the falling water.
7. Enter the room at the top, watching for an ambush on the left. Cross to the gate mechanism and turn it to open the shortcut back to Checkpoint grace.
8. Climb the stairs and cross the guarded bridge. Continue past the dog ambush and spellcasting nobles to the stairs leading up toward the chapel.
9. Moonrithyll, Carian Knight guards the chapel entrance. Defeat him or move past him carefully; the shield stairs and chapel altar are separate pickups here.
10. Enter the chapel behind Moonrithyll and loot the item on its altar. You do not need to continue through the castle or defeat Rellana.

Notes

• After holding an eligible weapon stance for one second, increases the qualifying attack's damage by 45%. Releasing the attack immediately skips the required stance hold.
• Works with Square Off, Unsheathe, Overhead Stance, Wing Stance, Night-and-Flame Stance, Transient Moonlight Moon-and-Fire Stance and Muleta. Waiting during an unrelated skill does not qualify.
• The bonus is not a general charged-heavy-attack effect. Axe Talisman covers ordinary charged heavies, while Godfrey Icon has a separate charged-spell and charged-skill rule.
• Can stack with Shard of Alexander on an eligible stance skill for 66.75% more damage overall. Their 45% and 15% bonuses multiply.
• Wait for the stance effect before attacking when an opening allows it. Holding the stance does not give damage negation or prevent an enemy from interrupting you.
• The talisman is on the chapel altar behind Moonrithyll in Castle Ensis. Rellana's boss fight is farther along and is not required for the pickup.
• Weighs 0.8. The damage increase is 45% in both PvE and PvP; it does not add stance damage or status buildup.
