About this item

Take it to Finger Reader Enia at Roundtable Hold to choose a reward: Maliketh's Black Blade or Black Blade.

Consuming it gives 30,000 runes and spends the remembrance. Check the unique rewards before choosing the runes.

A Walking Mausoleum with a bell or a remembrance-duplication coffin in the Realm of Shadow can make another copy after you have earned it. Each mausoleum or coffin can be used once.

In-game description

Remembrance of Maliketh, the Black Blade, hewn into the Erdtree.

The power of its namesake can be unlocked by the Finger Reader.

Alternatively, it can be used to gain a great bounty of runes.

Maliketh was a shadowbound beast given to his Empyrean. Marika's sole need of her shadow was a vessel to lock away Destined Death. Even then, she betrayed him.

Where to find

Maliketh at the great temple

Crumbling Farum Azula

Starting Site of Grace: Beside the Great Bridge

  1. Defeat Fire Giant and progress at the Forge of the Giants to reach Crumbling Farum Azula.
  2. Follow the ruined platforms to Dragon Temple, defeat Godskin Duo and continue through the dragon-temple rooftops.
  3. After passing the dragon and the Warhawks, follow the temple halls to the lift that reaches Beside the Great Bridge.
  4. Climb to the bridge and head toward the large arena beyond the Draconic Tree Sentinel. You can pass the sentinel, though defeating it makes later attempts safer.
  5. Defeat Beast Clergyman and Maliketh in the same encounter for the remembrance. This victory changes Leyndell, so finish its accessible pre-ash pickups first.

Notes

  • Take it to Finger Reader Enia at Roundtable Hold to choose a reward: Maliketh's Black Blade or Black Blade.
  • Consuming it gives 30,000 runes and spends the remembrance. Check the unique rewards before choosing the runes.
  • A Walking Mausoleum with a bell or a remembrance-duplication coffin in the Realm of Shadow can make another copy after you have earned it. Each mausoleum or coffin can be used once.
  • Duplication still works after the original has been exchanged or consumed. It does not reset the stock of an Enia reward you already claimed in this journey.
  • Bell-less mausoleums at Mausoleum Compound can also duplicate this remembrance.
  • Maliketh's Black Blade is the colossal sword; Black Blade is the incantation. The spell needs a sacred seal and a memory slot, while the weapon uses its own requirements and fixed skill.
