Effects
Reduces incoming physical and elemental damage by 30% while HP is completely full. The same reduction applies against other players.
A hit that begins at full HP can receive the protection. Once that hit removes HP, later hits in a combo normally no longer meet the condition.
Even a small amount of chip damage or a Poison or Scarlet Rot tick can switch it off. Healing fully reactivates it without needing a new kill or another trigger.

In-game description
A talisman patterned after shields used in ritual combat held to honor the Erdtree.
Raises defense when HP is at maximum.
The practice had died out by the age of King Consort Radagon, but remains of the arenas where ritual combat took place can still be found in every land.
Where to find
Colosseum entrance corpse
Leyndell
Starting Site of Grace: West Capital Rampart
Before you go
- Reach Leyndell before its transformation.
- For the original capital route, enter Leyndell after obtaining two Great Runes and visiting the Two Fingers. From Avenue Balcony, descend toward the greatbow knight, climb the enormous stone dragon wing and continue up to West Capital Rampart.
- Follow the southern route past the Gargoyle and the Golden Seed tree toward the large colosseum.
- Climb the broad stairs leading to the colosseum entrance. The Duelists on the approach can be passed if you only want the pickup.
- Loot the corpse at the large closed doors for Ritual Shield Talisman.
- Collect it before defeating Maliketh and changing the capital, so you do not have to rely on the altered area's access.
Notes
- Reduces incoming physical and elemental damage by 30% while HP is completely full. The same reduction applies against other players.
- A hit that begins at full HP can receive the protection. Once that hit removes HP, later hits in a combo normally no longer meet the condition.
- Even a small amount of chip damage or a Poison or Scarlet Rot tick can switch it off. Healing fully reactivates it without needing a new kill or another trigger.
- A small regeneration effect can help restore the last missing HP between encounters. It does not keep the talisman continuously active while damage is outpacing the healing.
- No shield or block is required. The name describes its defensive role, rather than restricting the effect to a shield build.
- It can combine with Ritual Sword Talisman's separate full-HP attack bonus. Both effects lose their condition when HP drops below full.
- A hit that deals several separate damage contacts can exhaust the condition on its first damaging contact. Full HP before the move does not guarantee protection against every contact in that move.
