Effects

Increases eligible roar-altered heavy-attack damage by 15%. War Cry, Barbaric Roar and Braggart's Roar can give the altered heavies that use this bonus.

It does not multiply every part of a roar's buff or boost every later normal attack. The actual attack must belong to an eligible roar or breath group.

Eligible Dragon Communion breath damage receives a separate 10% increase against enemies and 5% against other players. The talisman does not apply one universal percentage to every roar and breath.

In-game description

A bronze medallion depicting a roaring giant.

Enhances roars and breath attacks.

In ancient times, the giants were mortal enemies of the Erdtree. Their bellowing roars desolated nature, triggered avalanches, and whipped up storms of flame.

Where to find

Limgrave Tunnels boss

Limgrave

Starting Site of Grace: Limgrave Tunnels

  1. Enter Limgrave Tunnels through the cliff on the northwestern shore of Agheel Lake.
  2. Take the entrance lift and activate the grace. Continue through the miners' chamber to the next lift.
  3. Ride that lift and step off at its intermediate opening to enter the side tunnel. Riding straight to the bottom misses the route deeper into the mine.
  4. Follow the tunnel through the remaining mining passages and take the next lift to the boss doors.
  5. Defeat the Stonedigger Troll for Roar Medallion.

Notes

  • Increases eligible roar-altered heavy-attack damage by 15%. War Cry, Barbaric Roar and Braggart's Roar can give the altered heavies that use this bonus.
  • It does not multiply every part of a roar's buff or boost every later normal attack. The actual attack must belong to an eligible roar or breath group.
  • Eligible Dragon Communion breath damage receives a separate 10% increase against enemies and 5% against other players. The talisman does not apply one universal percentage to every roar and breath.
  • It does not increase Scarlet Rot or other status buildup from a breath. Extra hit damage and faster ailment buildup are different effects.
  • A charged roar-altered heavy can also qualify for Axe Talisman. An ordinary charged heavy without the eligible roar effect is not enough to receive Roar Medallion's altered-heavy bonus.
  • The Stonedigger Troll in Limgrave Tunnels drops it. At the mine's intermediate lift opening, step into the side passage rather than riding straight past the deeper route.
  • Beast’s Roar and the eligible Troll’s Roar attack receive its roar bonus. Hoarah Loux’s Earthshaker and Red Bear Hunt do not qualify simply because their names or animations suggest a roar.
  • Placidusax’s Ruin has eligible Fire breath despite belonging to neither Dragon Communion nor Dragon Cult. Bayle’s Flame Lightning and Bayle’s Tyranny do not receive the talisman’s breath bonus.
