And so it is that the shape of the dragon has become symbolic of all manner of protections.

Starting Site of Grace: Sellia Under-Stair

1. From Southern Aeonia Swamp Bank, follow the road north through Sellia Gateway. Watch for the giant throwing rocks above the gateway. Gowry's wooden shack is off the road on the right, before the town.
2. Continue north into Sellia, Town of Sorcery. Activate Sellia Under-Stair on the southwestern edge and follow the main street north, watching for sorcerers appearing beside the buildings.
3. Climb the stairs at the far end toward the golden sapling and the sealed upper gate. The large roots beside these steps provide the way onto the roofs.
4. Near the sapling, look southwest through the broken railing for a root leading toward the nearest candle tower. Follow it, climb the tower ladder and interact with the flame at the top.
5. Return to the upper steps and use the root again, this time stepping onto the adjoining roofs. Work south and east across the roofs and branches toward the eastern tower. Use Torrent's double jump for the gaps and climb the ladder to light its flame.
6. From that eastern roof route, head back across the connecting roots and roofs toward the southern tower on the western side. The narrow approach has a corpse with a Stonesword Key. Climb the ladder and light the third flame.
7. All three flames remove the town's different blue barriers. Return to ground level to collect the particular reward you came for; lighting the towers does not automatically put the chest items in your inventory.
8. Return to the northwestern alcove overlooking the swamp, below the Staff of Loss balcony. Open its chest for Spelldrake Talisman +1. The nearby large boss doorway is a separate destination.

Notes

• Reduces incoming magic damage by 17% from enemies and 5% from other players.
• Only the magic part of a mixed attack is reduced. Fire, lightning, holy and physical spells do not qualify merely because they were cast with a staff or seal.
• Cannot be equipped with another Spelldrake variant. The basic talisman is not a prerequisite or an upgrade material for this one.
• Can combine with a compatible Pearldrake talisman. Their reductions multiply, so 17% and 5% protection give 21.15% combined magic negation against enemies.
• It does not raise Intelligence, maximum FP or your own spell damage. Its protection is active while worn without a casting or full-HP condition.
• The northwestern chest opens when its associated tower seal is removed. Lighting all three flames clears the town's barriers, including this one; the Nox boss pair is unnecessary for the chest.
