Effects

Adds 5 Strength without an incoming-damage penalty. It can help meet a weapon's Strength requirement and improve attacks with compatible Strength scaling.

The damage gain depends on your weapon, affinity and existing Strength. It is not a fixed percentage bonus to every physical attack.

Ordinary two-handed use applies its normal effective-Strength rule to the increased stat. This does not turn the heirloom into an actual Dexterity bonus or waive other requirements.

In-game description

A talisman engraved with a scene from a heroic tale.

Raises strength.

The mightiest hero of the demigods confronted the falling stars alone—and thus did he crush them, his conquest sealing the very fate of the stars.

Where to find

Fort Gael upper chest

Caelid

Starting Site of Grace: Fort Gael North

  1. Reach Fort Gael in western Caelid, south of Fort Gael North.
  2. The main gate is closed. Follow the outside of the fort to the rear ladder instead.
  3. Climb the ladder to the upper battlements and follow the wall toward the covered platform.
  4. Open the chest beneath the canopy for Starscourge Heirloom.
  5. The Lion Guardian in the courtyard gives a separate reward and does not need to be defeated for this chest.

Notes

  • Adds 5 Strength without an incoming-damage penalty. It can help meet a weapon's Strength requirement and improve attacks with compatible Strength scaling.
  • The damage gain depends on your weapon, affinity and existing Strength. It is not a fixed percentage bonus to every physical attack.
  • Ordinary two-handed use applies its normal effective-Strength rule to the increased stat. This does not turn the heirloom into an actual Dexterity bonus or waive other requirements.
  • Removing it can change whether you meet a requirement one-handed or two-handed. Check the stance you intend to use before entering a fight.
  • The Lion Guardian in Fort Gael's courtyard is optional for this chest and gives a different reward. Use the outside ladder to reach the upper battlements.
  • The chest is beneath the canopy on the upper platform. The closed main gate does not mean the fort must be opened through another quest first.
