Effects
Raises damage by 20% for 180 seconds, or 12.5% in PvP. The accompanying HP drain continues even if you stop attacking. Drinking the same effect again refreshes it rather than adding a second damage bonus.
The tear drains 20 HP plus 0.2% of maximum HP each second while active. The flat and percentage portions are applied together in the resource timeline. Invulnerability can avoid a drain tick. The calculation requires an explicit tick phase and invulnerability state; it does not guess either one. Healing penalties do not reduce this HP loss.

In-game description
A crystal tear formed slowly over the ages, where the scattered sap of the Scadutree pools deep within the furnace golems.
Can be mixed in the Flask of Wondrous Physick.
The resulting concoction temporarily increases attack power but drains HP over time.
Where to find
Dormant Furnace Golem blocking Ruins of Unte
Scadu Altus
Starting Site of Grace: Castle Watering Hole
Before you go
- Enter the Realm of Shadow after defeating Starscourge Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood, then touch the withered arm in Mohg's arena.
- For Hefty Furnace Pots, collect Greater Potentate's Cookbook [2] at Run-Down Traveler's Rest below Ellac Greatbridge. Each pot needs an empty Hefty Cracked Pot, two Redflesh Mushrooms, two Embers of Messmer and one Furnace Visage.
- In Shadow Keep, find the main rampart with the burning boats before the lift to Storehouse, First Floor. Climb down the ladder beside the rampart, walk behind the waterfall and descend the next ladder.
- In the painting room, strike the wall to the right of the painting to reveal a passage. Follow it to the coffin and choose to rest inside.
- After the journey, leave the cave and activate Castle Watering Hole. The Ruins of Unte and their collapsed Furnace Golems are outside.
- Find the inactive golem slumped across the ruins' entrance. Climb onto the low building to its left when facing the golem, then throw a Hefty Furnace Pot into its open basket to wake it.
- Once it stands, fight it as an unarmored Furnace Golem: stagger its legs and move to the fallen face for a critical attack. Kill it to receive Bloodsucking Cracked Tear.
- Do not confuse it with the nearby golem that wakes on its own and drops Oil-Soaked Tear.
Notes
- Increases attack power by 20% for three minutes, or 12.5% against other players.
- Plan your healing before using it. A damage bonus is little help if its drain leaves you unable to survive the next hit.
- HP regeneration can offset some of the drain, but it does not remove the need to watch your health.
- Rest at a Site of Grace and choose Mix Wondrous Physick to use this tear. Drinking the flask uses its charge; resting refills it without consuming the tear.
- The drain is 20 HP plus 0.2% of maximum HP each second. At 2,000 maximum HP that is 24 HP per second, so the cost grows with your health pool rather than staying at a flat 20.
