In-game description
Boiled prawn meat.
A prime specimen of plump and moist meat.
True connoisseurs know how to keep from over-salting.
Boosts physical damage negation for a certain duration.
The meat actually looks to have come from a crayfish. Not that it matters, it's delicious all the same.
Where to find
Blackguard Big Boggart at Boilprawn Shack
Liurnia of the Lakes
Starting Site of Grace: Boilprawn Shack
Before you go
- Complete the necklace conversation before Rya leaves for Volcano Manor.
- At Scenic Isle in southern Liurnia, head east toward the stone gazebo near the telescope. Speak to Rya about her stolen necklace before entering Volcano Manor, which ends this early meeting.
- Ride northwest across the shallow lake to Boilprawn Shack. Talk to Boggart beside the cooking pot, ask for the necklace and choose Deal to open the purchase.
- Buy Rya's Necklace for 1,000 runes. Buying it keeps Boggart alive and opens his prawn shop; purchase at least one Boiled Prawn if you want his later move and crab stock.
- Speak to Boggart again after buying the necklace and open his food shop. Buy Boiled Prawn for 600 runes each; buy at least one and finish his dialogue to make him friendly.
- Return the necklace to Rya when ready. Keep Boggart alive if you want him to move to the outer moat at Leyndell and sell Boiled Crab later.
Notes
- Reduces physical damage taken by 15% against enemies or 10% against players for 60 seconds. It does not reduce Magic, Fire, Lightning or Holy damage.
- This is a body buff. Boiled Crab replaces it, as do Exalted Flesh, Flame, Grant Me Strength and other body buffs. A separate aura or equipment bonus can still apply.
- Its reduction multiplies with existing protection rather than adding 15 points to every displayed negation value. It helps all physical damage types, including Strike, Slash and Pierce.
- Buy Rya's necklace and a prawn before progressing Rya to Volcano Manor. Missing that early conversation can leave Boggart's food shop unavailable.
- Buying at least one prawn and finishing his dialogue opens the path to his later crab stock. Merely choosing five prawns as your starting keepsake does not make him friendly or unlock his shop.
- Costs no FP. Boggart sells unlimited stock for 600 runes each once unlocked. You can keep him alive and buy directly, without taking his bell bearing.
- If he dies, the transferred shop depends on the foods bought beforehand. An early kill at the shack does not grant access to crab.
