About this item

Clears Sleep buildup. Use it before the meter fills and causes the stagger or sleep reaction.

It does not restore FP already lost when Sleep triggers or give lasting resistance to later buildup. Make space before using an item instead of waiting until the reaction begins.

This is an immediate cure, rather than a resistance buff. It does not replace a cured-meat resistance effect or make the next incoming ailment harmless.

In-game description

Light-purple boluses made from cave moss.

Craftable item.

Alleviates buildup of sleep.

Sleep accumulates gradually, causing sudden fogginess and loss of FP once the threshold is reached, even if it does not force the afflicted into true slumber.

Take one of these in timely fashion to avoid such an event.

Where to find

Crafting after obtaining Nomadic Warrior's Cookbook [16]

Ainsel River

Starting Site of Grace: Ainsel River Downstream

Before you go

  • Crafting Kit
  • Nomadic Warrior's Cookbook [16]
  • Ingredients per batch: 1 Herba, 1 Cave Moss and 1 Slumbering Egg
  • 2,500 runes
  1. On eastern Liurnia's plateau, head north from Eastern Tableland to the round Ainsel River Well building. Ride the lift down and activate Ainsel River Well Depths grace.
  2. Take the tunnel on the left toward the giant ants. Watch the ceiling as well as the floor; drawing them down one at a time is safer than being surrounded beneath them.
  3. At the first lit junction, turn right. The left branch ends at a Smithing Stone pickup rather than the route onward.
  4. At the next split in the chamber full of corpses, take the right branch toward the large stone structure. Climb the path on the right and cross the bridge back to the left.
  5. Activate Ainsel River Sluice Gate grace in the cave ahead before using the lift directly to the right of the bridge's far end. Ride that lift down instead of jumping from the upper ruins.
  6. Follow the lower ruins through the Claymen and the lit entrance into the large open chamber. A hanging creature at the far end fires stones across this room.
  7. Use the stone walls and pillars as cover while approaching the building directly beneath that creature. The Hermit Merchant is sheltering inside; killing the creature is optional.
  8. Choose Purchase and buy Nomadic Warrior's Cookbook [16] for 2,500 runes. The nearby corpse holds the region map, which is a separate pickup.
  9. This is the lower Ainsel merchant reached from Liurnia's well. You do not need to serve Ranni or fight the Dragonkin Soldier to buy the book.
  10. Buy the Crafting Kit from Kalé at Church of Elleh for 300 runes if Item Crafting is unavailable.
  11. Collect 1 Herba, 1 Cave Moss and 1 Slumbering Egg. Outside combat, open Item Crafting and select Stimulating Boluses. One batch makes 1.
