Before you go

• 500 runes

1. From the First Step, go north to the ruined Church of Elleh.
2. Talk to Kale beside the campfire and select Purchase.
3. Buy the first Nomadic Warrior book for 500 runes.
4. Buy the Crafting Kit from Kalé at Church of Elleh for 300 runes if Item Crafting is still locked. The cookbook alone does not unlock the crafting menu.
5. With the book and materials in your inventory, open Item Crafting outside combat and select Bone Bolt. One craft makes 10.

Notes

• One craft makes 10, using 2 Thin Beast Bones. You keep the cookbook and Crafting Kit; only the ingredients are spent.
• Crossbow ammunition. Equip it in a bolt slot; bows, greatbows and ballista weapons use different ammunition.
• Adds 44 Physical attack power to the shot. This is the ammunition contribution, before the ranged weapon, skill, distance and enemy defenses determine the actual damage.
• Uses two Thin Beast Bones for ten, compared with three bones for ten ordinary bone arrows. There is no separate fletched bolt recipe.
• Regular Bolt has 50 Physical attack power compared with 44 here. Crossbows normally have no attribute scaling, so extra Strength or Dexterity does not turn this ammunition into a scaling bolt.
• Carry up to 99 of this type. Crossbow bursts spend several bolts, so keep enough ammunition for the whole burst.
