In-game description

A crystal tear formed slowly over the ages, where the scattered sap of the Scadutree pools deep within the furnace golems.

Can be mixed in the Flask of Wondrous Physick.

The resulting concoction temporarily restores FP upon landing attacks.

Where to find

Armored Furnace Golem near Bonny Village

Scadu Altus

Starting Site of Grace: Bridge Leading to the Village

Before you go

  • Enter the Realm of Shadow after defeating Starscourge Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood, then touch the withered arm in Mohg's arena.
  • For Hefty Furnace Pots, collect Greater Potentate's Cookbook [2] at Run-Down Traveler's Rest below Ellac Greatbridge. Each pot needs an empty Hefty Cracked Pot, two Redflesh Mushrooms, two Embers of Messmer and one Furnace Visage.
  1. From Highroad Cross in Scadu Altus, follow the road east to Moorth Ruins and activate the grace beside the cross.
  2. Pass through the large stone arch east-southeast of the grace. At the house ahead, turn left toward the leaning tower. Avoid the large open shaft behind the house, which is too deep for a direct drop.
  3. Find the smaller gap between the broken building and the rock wall in front of the leaning tower. Drop onto the balcony-like ledge, turn right past the dogs and follow the cave inward.
  4. In the open chamber at the end, take the back-left ledges down onto the lower roof. Look for the small shrine guarded by three Inquisitors and collect Golden Arcs from the chest inside.
  5. To continue east, drop from the lower roof to the ground and take the cave beside the building on the left. Follow it to the long ladder and climb out of the well at Bonny Village grace.
  6. Cross the bridges out of the village's northeastern side and activate Bridge Leading to the Village. Follow the road past the wolves and through the opening in the rocks toward the armored Furnace Golem.
  7. Use the nearby spiritspring to reach the high ledge above the golem. Wait for its open basket to come within throwing range, then throw Hefty Furnace Pots into it.
  8. Kill the golem to receive the tear. Hitting the metal braces around its legs is not the normal way to damage this armored version.

Notes

  • For 45 seconds, qualifying hits restore 5 FP.
  • The recovery happens when an attack connects. It is not passive FP regeneration, and misses do not repay the skill you just used.
  • This is the FP-restoring tear. Crimson-Sapping Cracked Tear restores HP instead.
  • Rest at a Site of Grace and choose Mix Wondrous Physick to use this tear. Drinking the flask uses its charge; resting refills it without consuming the tear.
  • A multi-hit attack is useful only when its contacts qualify for the recovery. The effect is not a refund of a percentage of the FP you spent, so an expensive skill does not automatically repay more FP per hit.
  • At five FP per qualifying contact, four successful contacts recover 20 FP. That is different from returning a set fraction of a skill’s cost.
  • Use attacks with reliable direct contacts rather than assuming every visual hit, damage-over-time tick or separate spirit attack contributes. A missed or ineligible contact gives no recovery.
  • It does not remove FP costs. You still need enough FP to start an expensive skill before later hits can recover any of that spent FP.
  • Its short 45-second window is most useful once you can reach the target. Drinking it far from the fight wastes part of the recovery time.
