About this armor

Raises Faith by one while worn. The bonus comes from this chest piece alone; you do not need the matching headband or shoes.

The Faith point can help meet an incantation or weapon requirement. Removing the chest also removes that point, so an item used at exactly its minimum requirement may stop working properly.

Weighs 4.1 and provides seven poise. Tailoring removes the cape and lowers weight, defenses and resistances, but keeps the one-point Faith bonus.

Armor effects

  • Entry 1:
    • attribute: Faith
    • model: additive
    • type: positive
    • value: 1

In-game description

Garb decorated with intricate embroidery.

Standard wear for commoners of the Lands Between.

The board hung from the neck depicts a sprawling tree, its roots and branches forming two holes. This is a self-imposed shackle, a voluntary display of allegiance to the Erdtree that increases faith.

Where to find

Stormveil cliffside rooms

Limgrave

Starting Site of Grace: Stormveil Cliffside

Before you go

  • Obtain Commoner's Garb and the ordinary Tailoring Tools.
  1. Defeat Margit at the entrance to Stormveil and continue to Stormveil Main Gate. Speak to Gostoc in the side room and take the narrow cliffside route instead of the defended front gate.
  2. Follow the outer ledges and climb the stone and wooden steps along the wall until you reach Stormveil Cliffside grace.
  3. Continue uphill on the wooden stairs into the first storage rooms. Look for the bent-over Commoner servants in plain clothing, rather than the soldiers in red hoods. Watch for thrown pots and explosive barrels.
  4. Defeat the servants, collect any glowing loot, then rest at Stormveil Cliffside to repeat. Commoner's Garb, Commoner's Shoes and Commoner's Headband (Altered) are separate random drops. You do not need to defeat Godrick for this farm.
  5. For the Tailoring Tools, enter Coastal Cave on the beach below western Limgrave and defeat its two Demi-Human Chiefs. Bring a light for the cave.
  6. Rest at a grace, choose Alter garments and change the chest for 500 runes. Boc can make the alteration free once his tailoring service is available. The change uses your existing piece; it does not make an extra copy.

Notes

  • The Faith point can help meet an incantation or weapon requirement. Removing the chest also removes that point, so an item used at exactly its minimum requirement may stop working properly.
  • Weighs 4.1 and provides seven poise. Tailoring removes the cape and lowers weight, defenses and resistances, but keeps the one-point Faith bonus.
  • Can be changed between the regular and altered versions with ordinary tailoring. This costs 500 runes at a grace, or is free through Boc's available tailoring service.
  • The regular chest drops from Commoner servants. Each eligible enemy has a 1.5% base chance at 100 Discovery; higher Discovery improves the chance, but no kill guarantees it.
