Its left breast is emblazoned with a peering cuckoo, whence came their name.
Perhaps the bird's shrewd gaze is an expression of their refusal to be mere servants of the academy.

Before you go
- Obtain Cuckoo Knight Armor first.
- One checked approach to Bellum Highway uses the Academy Glintstone Key. Collect it behind the sleeping dragon north of Temple Quarter, then examine the seal at South Raya Lucaria Gate to reach Main Academy Gate.
- From Main Academy Gate, examine the other blue seal at the northeast end of the junction. It takes you across the broken bridge to East Raya Lucaria Gate; walking along the broken bridge itself does not cross the gap.
- Ride north along Bellum Highway and turn toward Bellum Church on the left side of the road. Activate its grace.
- Rest at Bellum Church and pass time until morning for the mounted-knight farm. Night's Cavalry can appear on this highway at night and is a separate boss.
- Leave the church toward the southeast and find the ruined stone patch in the middle of the road. Clear or draw away the ordinary soldiers before fighting the blue-plumed Cuckoo Knight.
- More Cuckoo Knights patrol the nearby highway on horseback. Defeat the knights and check their loot, then rest at Bellum Church to repeat.
- The route above uses the academy seals to reach Bellum Highway. The farm itself is outdoors and does not require defeating Rennala or riding Grand Lift of Dectus.

- The regular chest can be tailored to remove the cape. The alteration saves one weight and keeps 24 chest poise, while protection and resistances change.
