In-game description

Superior incantation of the capital's ancient dragon cult.

Summons lightning to bolster the caster's body. Attacks become easier to deflect and resistance to all ailments is increased. However, lightning damage negation will be reduced.

Only those loved by dragons can survive the ordeal of cladding their bodies in lightning.

Stormcaller Church

Altus Plateau

Starting Site of Grace: Rampartside Path

  1. Reach eastern Altus Plateau and activate Rampartside Path below the capital's outer wall. Stormcaller Church stands on the high ground southwest of this grace.
  2. Ride southwest toward the ruined church, staying on the raised ground rather than descending into the lower valley.
  3. Enter Stormcaller Church and open the chest inside to receive Dragonbolt Blessing. No boss defeat or prayerbook purchase is required.

Notes

  • For 70 seconds, some lighter weapon attacks rebound when they hit you, leaving the attacker briefly open. This is not an automatic parry, invulnerability or protection against every heavy or two-handed attack.
  • Adds 30 resistance to Poison, Scarlet Rot, Bleed, Frostbite, Sleep, Madness and Death Blight. This raises the buildup thresholds; it does not cure an ailment already active or make you immune.
  • You take 35% more Lightning damage while it is active, against both enemies and players. Avoid treating a lightning-covered body as protection from lightning attacks.
  • This is a body buff. Other body buffs replace it, while a separate aura such as Golden Vow can coexist.
  • It does not add Lightning damage to your weapon or raise maximum equip load. Those are features of other enchantments, including Vyke's Dragonbolt.
  • The effects are fixed rather than stronger with Faith or Incant Scaling. Old Lord's Talisman extends the duration, including the Lightning vulnerability, to 91 seconds.
  • Requires 21 Faith, one memory slot and a sacred seal. Costs 20 FP. Open the chest inside Stormcaller Church; the church's other pickups are separate.
