In-game description
One of the incantations of Dragon Communion.
Transforms caster into a dragon to tear through foes with dragon claws.
Allows one follow-up attack.
Incantation of those who have hunted dragons and feasted upon their hearts. Theirs is a pure and overwhelming power.
Where to find
Cathedral of Dragon Communion
Caelid
Starting Site of Grace: Cathedral of Dragon Communion
Before you go
- From Summonwater Village in northeastern Limgrave, follow the main road east into Caelid. Stay on the highway as it curves south around the Swamp of Aeonia toward Caelid Highway South.
- Leave the southern road toward the ruined church on the hill south of the swamp. Decaying Ekzykes is near the approach; pass around the dragon if your chosen purchase does not require its defeat.
- Enter Cathedral of Dragon Communion and activate its grace. A Banished Knight patrols the ruins, so clear the immediate area before trying the altar.
- Interact with the red altar and choose the Dragon Communion menu. The price is paid in Dragon Hearts, rather than runes, and purchasing a spell is separate from equipping it at a grace.
- Select Dragonclaw and spend 1 Dragon Heart.
Church of Dragon Communion
Limgrave
Starting Site of Grace: Coastal Cave
Before you go
- From The First Step in Limgrave, head west to the cliff and use the descending route to the beach. Follow the beach north to Coastal Cave and bring a torch or lantern inside.
- Continue through the cave to the Demi-Human Chiefs and defeat them. Keep going through the passage beyond the arena instead of using the return-to-entrance marker.
- The passage emerges on the offshore island. Climb to the ruined Church of Dragon Communion and use its red altar.
- Spend one Dragon Heart on Dragonclaw. You can use a heart from any eligible dragon; it does not have to come from Agheel.
Notes
- Creates a large physical claw slam with one optional follow-up. It deals Standard physical damage rather than Lightning or Magic damage.
- Press the casting input again for the second slam. Each cast costs FP, so the listed 24 FP is not the price for an automatic two-hit sequence.
- The claw can hit several enemies close together and apply stance pressure. It is not a long-range projectile and can miss if the target moves out before the slam.
- The casting motion resists interruption, but you still take damage and can be punished during recovery. Its raised posture is not full invulnerability.
- It cannot be charged for Godfrey Icon, and Roar Medallion does not boost the claw merely because it belongs to Dragon Communion.
- Its physical damage still follows your casting seal's Incantation Scaling. Strength helps when using a seal that actually scales incantations with Strength, rather than being an automatic extra multiplier for the claw.
- Cast with a sacred seal. Requires 17 Faith and 13 Arcane, uses 1 memory slot and costs 24 FP to start.
- Dragon Communion Seal gives a 15% damage bonus while held in an active hand, even if another seal performs the cast. Its damage scaling uses Faith and Arcane; a different seal uses its own attributes.
