Dragon Cult incantations

One of the incantations of the capital's ancient dragon cult.

Enchants armament held in the right hand with lightning-affinity attacks.

Long ago, Godwyn the Golden defeated the ancient dragon Fortissax, and befriended his fallen foe—an event that gave rise to the ancient dragon cult in the capital.

Road south of the Artist's Shack, then Church of Vows

Liurnia of the Lakes

Starting Site of Grace: Artist's Shack

Before you go

• Have 4,000 runes.
• Give Dragon Cult Prayerbook to the teacher you will buy from.

1. Reach the eastern Liurnia plateau and find Artist's Shack beside the road. Activate its grace before starting the fight.
2. Follow the road south from the shack and look for the lone knight in golden armor patrolling the path.
3. Defeat that knight and collect the dropped Dragon Cult Prayerbook. Keep space around you so other enemies do not join while he is using lightning attacks.
4. Check the pickup name before returning to the grace. This is the specific knight's book reward, rather than a random drop to farm from every soldier.
5. From Artist's Shack, follow the road north and take the uphill branch toward the Church of Vows. Speak to Miriel, the large turtle in the ruined church.
6. Give him the Dragon Cult Prayerbook, open his purchase menu and pay 4,000 runes for Electrify Armament. Receiving the prayerbook does not teach the spell automatically.
7. Brother Corhyn is another valid teacher, but moves during his quest. Miriel is the simpler fixed-location option while he remains alive.

Notes

• Adds Lightning attack power to a compatible right-hand weapon for 90 seconds. The added amount is 75% of the Faith-based part of your seal's Incant Scaling.
• The added elemental attack power uses only the Faith contribution to your seal's Incant Scaling. Strength from Clawmark Seal, Intelligence from Golden Order Seal and Arcane from Dragon Communion Seal do not strengthen this enchantment.
• For example, 300 entirely Faith-based Incant Scaling adds 225 Lightning attack power. That is attack power before an enemy's defenses, rather than 225 guaranteed damage per hit.
• The enchantment does not change the weapon to Lightning affinity or add Dexterity scaling. The weapon keeps its own existing attack power and scaling, with the temporary Lightning added on top.
• Hold a sacred seal in your left hand and the weapon in your right. Grease or weapon enchantments can be applied while using an affinity that allows weapon buffs, usually Standard, Heavy, Keen or Quality. Some unique weapons have their own exceptions.
• Shares the weapon-buff slot with grease and other weapon enchantments. Applying another coating replaces this one; switching to an incompatible weapon does not transfer it onto that weapon.
• Old Lord's Talisman extends the duration to 117 seconds. This lasts longer than Vyke's Dragonbolt and avoids its increased Lightning damage taken.
• Requires 15 Faith, one memory slot and a sacred seal. Costs 27 FP. After giving the Dragon Cult Prayerbook to Miriel or Corhyn, buy the spell for 4,000 runes.
