About this item
One use throws five physical Pierce knives in a spread. It consumes one Fan Daggers item for the entire fan, rather than spending five inventory items.
Damage favors Dexterity, with weaker Strength scaling. It costs no FP and has no innate Poison or Blood Loss.
Several knives can hit a close target, while a wider spread helps catch sideways movement farther away. Each knife deals and calculates damage separately; all five are not guaranteed to hit one enemy.

In-game description
A set of five throwing knives bundled together.
A concealed weapon cherished by the raptor assassins.
The thin knives fan out when thrown, dealing damage to the target.
Each knife deals paltry damage, but the wide range makes it suitable for constraining enemies.
Where to find
Patches' shop in Murkwater Cave
Limgrave
Starting Site of Grace: Murkwater Cave
Before you go
- Follow the river north from Agheel Lake to the cave entrance in the western cliff. Deal with Bloody Finger Nerijus if he invades outside.
- Enter Murkwater Cave, clear the bandits and open the chest in the room beyond the mist to trigger Patches' fight.
- When Patches surrenders at low health, stop attacking and speak to him. Rest or reload, then return to his shop.
- Buy Fan Daggers for 160 runes each. His initial cave stock is twenty.
- After he moves to Liurnia, find him beside Scenic Isle grace in the southern lake for unlimited Fan Daggers at the same 160-rune price. Keep him alive if you want his quest and direct shop to continue.
Notes
- One use throws five physical Pierce knives in a spread. It consumes one Fan Daggers item for the entire fan, rather than spending five inventory items.
- Damage favors Dexterity, with weaker Strength scaling. It costs no FP and has no innate Poison or Blood Loss.
- Several knives can hit a close target, while a wider spread helps catch sideways movement farther away. Each knife deals and calculates damage separately; all five are not guaranteed to hit one enemy.
- Useful for finishing a low-health opponent or maintaining ranged pressure. It is a consumable attack, rather than a weapon skill improved by Shard of Alexander.
- Patches initially sells twenty for 160 runes each. His stock becomes unlimited after moving to Scenic Isle in Liurnia.
- If obtaining his bell bearing, the unlocked stock matters. Killing him before that shop progression does not automatically produce the unlimited version.
